4. “This is to verify that Mr. D.E. Möwes (student number 10133560) was enrolled in my subject,
Thermodynamics MTX221 in 2011 in the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical
Engineering at the University of Pretoria. We had frequent contact during lectures and during
consultation times outside the lecture hall. He exhibited a high level of responsibility in his
studies and attained a mark well above the class average. I would gladly recommend him
for work.”

academic year. A student with passion for his studies and he is always participating in
discussions in the class environment. He has shown a keen interest in the field of Explosives
Engineering. On the academic side Demetrio is performing above class average and on a
regular basis schedules meetings with me to broaden his knowledge base and we have fruitful
discussions which enhances his learning and understanding of commercial explosives and the
application thereof in the mining environment.
Demetrio has indicated that he wants to broaden his explosives knowledge through an
explosives engineering project at a mining operation. I can highly recommend Demetrio for
work as he is a hard, dedicated worker always willing to learn.”
