Who I Am Community Ministries seeks to help African American youth discover their potential through programming developed from the youth's perspective. The organization will open a community center to provide safe, quality programming to support youth development, address their needs, and fulfill their purpose. The goal is to help youth accept their skills and abilities, dismantle low self-esteem, and believe they can achieve their dreams in order to economically strengthen their communities.

“Who I Am” seeks to bringout the hidden person of African American youth rangingfrom middle-school through
the aged-out.
A Grass Rootcommunity center will serviceits youth within their own neighborhoods.
PROJECT SYNOPSIS: Creatingquality programs from the youth’s perspective to bridge gaps between the
participantsand their overseers.

enhance Family Life, Learning, Health and Welfare for self-sufficiency
To assisteach youth in recognizingtheir full potential and develop their own goals and purposes in life,thereby
fulfilling“who they are”. WIA immediate and long-term financial,physical,emotional,spiritual,and mental needs
of moderate to low-income youths will beaccomplished by providingsafeand quality programmingthat support
family lifeand development.

To help African American youth to discover who they areand understand that their own personal dreams and
wishes areviableand meaningful to their own success.We want them to accept their skills and abilities as God-
given talents that will serveto create their own jobs and businesses.To believe that they aresomebody and can
achievewhatever they wish in life;dismantlinglowself-esteems and the need to followrappers,athletes, and
others justbecauseof society.We believe that all aregeniuses within their own rights and from vision to vision we
plan to develop them.
Objective – Decrease barriers for at-risk and challenged youth and bridge gaps to succeed in learningand building
their lives.
To organizemoderate to low-income disadvantaged youth within the immediate location of the community center
and surrounding communities through youth intervention, counseling,housingresources,entrepreneurship,
nutrition,mentoring and inspireand promote lawabidingcitizens.
