The Institute’s Victorian division is available to respond to member queries and be a voice for industry issues.
We ensure members have access to market intelligence and important policy updates, which offer members
a distinct operating advantage.
ACCESS TO POLICY UPDATES AND POLICY MAKERS
A key role for the Institute in Victoria is the representation of its members’ interests through active
participation at all levels of government on important industry issues. Members have found a voice in the
Institute through which they can communicate their concerns and ideas to decision makers, the community
and the broader industry.
Members receive a fortnightly Industry News and Advocacy eNewsletter broadcasting advocacy and policy
activities on issues such as housing affordability, cost of development, environment, sustainability,
infrastructure and transport. The timely release of issues-based member alerts ensures members have
immediate access to changes in policy and legislation affecting the urban development industry.
MARKET INTELLIGENCE
A series of intelligence initiatives are developed in conjunction with the Institute’s Research Partners and
distributed by email to keep members ahead in policy, research, legislation and important industry updates.
Two Apartment Research Updates are distributed annually along with two Greenfield Research Updates
offering data and commentary with highlights presented at the Research Breakfast Series.
Economic Activity Updates are released twice yearly and detailed presentations offered at Research
Breakfasts held throughout the year.
RESEARCH AND INDUSTRY INTELLIGENCE
Access to quarterly reports analysing market data and trends:
• Bi-annual Greenfield Land Mark Report
• Bi-annual Apartment Market Report
• Quarterly Property Economic Report

MEMBERS’ DIRECTORY
An online directory showcasing the Institute’s members is an excellent reference tool allowing members to
promote their business as well as locate other members through a range of search options. Each member
receives a free listing as a member benefit and the opportunity to advertise within the directory.
NATIONAL ENVIRODEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
This ground-breaking environmental branding system is a unique marketing tool which allows members of
the Institute to proudly promote outstanding environmental and sustainability outcomes achieved in their
projects.
COMMITTEE PARTICIPATION
The Institute’s Committees are structured to respond to issues as they develop through the creation of
expert reporting teams. Responsible for developing submissions for the enhancement of the industry, all
members can nominate to participate on Committees and play an active role in influencing policy and
developing the Institute’s Advocacy Agenda.
Regular information-based forums and events are designed for members to learn about the latest industry
news and developments. The Institute’s Industry Forums and annual Urban Development Summit
encourage interaction from attendees to ensure positive, industry led outcomes are achieved.
