The applicant is looking for a new job after their previous position was outsourced. Rather than touting their own qualifications in the cover letter, they ask the employer questions about the attributes they desire in an employee. The applicant asks if the employer wants an employee who is ready to work every day, keeps personal issues separate from work, listens and learns, helps customers with a smile, and goes above and beyond without complaining. The applicant believes they may be a good fit if the employer desires an employee with a positive attitude who looks great and is honest and trustworthy each day.

The job for me
Finding the career that I thought was perfect for me, was contracted out to the cheapest bidder.
So now I am in the position of looking for a new job.
I have always gone to interviews with my cover letter that always tells the employer what’s so
GREAT about me and why they should pick me over anyone else who may have applied for the
same position. Well, I have decided to try something a little different. Instead of telling you
about me, let me ask what you’re looking for in an employee for this position.
Do you want an employee that comes to work looking and acting like they’re ready to work, day
in and day out?
Do you want an employee that won’t bring any problems they may be having outside of work,
into work?
Do you want an employee that will read and listen to everything you tell or teach them?
Do you want an employee that will remember customers’ names, look them in the eye when
talking with them and try to help them with everything unless a manager is needed?
This one’s real important, do you want an employee who will go above and beyond with
everything they do and do it with a smile, never complaining?
If you’re an employer that is looking for and desires an employee that comes to work every day
looking great, with a big smile, infectious attitude, is very honest and trust worthy, I may be
perfect for you and you for me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my
