2. Schneider Electric
What we did: through Module
1 - Open Innovation Strategy
and the project work, we
provided Schneider Electric
with a new system for tracking
and measuring innovation
activity across business units.
Then through the project work
the Fellows built upon this
framework to tailor it each
Fellows individual organisation.
Result: The Fellow
disseminated this new
framework for tracking
innovation activity across all
Schneider Electrics UK business
unites. It is effectively being
used to measured not only
innovation activity but progress
on D&I in innovation as well.
This has ensured their
innovation activity is embedded
across unites and has been
invaluable to the launch on their
Open Energy Innovation
Programme
Challenge: Innovation activity
was not being effectively
embedded across business
unites, due in part to the lack
of a robust system for tracking
the progress and impact of
innovation activity. They also
were not effectively tracking
D&I of activity.

4. NHSX
What we did: As part of their
project work NHSX were put
into a group with Barclays
where they build a strategy for
disseminating innovation
across the NHS. Through this
collaboration they designed a
framework with which
innovation could be tested in
the NHS setting.
Result:
Challenge: The Fellow was
struggling to bring innovation
into the NHS and needed help
designing a framework for
which new ideas could be
tested into the NHS.
The NHSX Fellow
used the work in
the project to form
the basis of her
pitch to the CEO
Mathew Gould and
as a result received
£15 million funding
to undertake proof
of concepts in the
muscular skeletal
space.
