SUMMARY
Over the pastseventeen yearsI havebeen workingin theoil andgasindustryon various
styles of drillingrigs. I havebeen employed for fourteen yearsasa Toolpusher,and for
the past20 months,asan AssistantRigSuperintendentfor KCADeutag. Duringthat
timeI havebeen involvedplugand abandonmentand conductorrecovery in CNRL’s
decommissioningof theMurchisonplatform,which isscheduled for completion mid-
March 2016.
Ninety percentof my career hasbeen on landrigs.However,I havespentsometimeon
a jack up rigin thePersian Gulf,andmostrecently of course,theMurchison platform.
SUPERVISORY SKILLS
Personnel
· I takethe trainingandprogression of my employees’skillsand workethic seriously. I
believetrainingworkersto beteachers andmentors is equallyas importantas
improvingandexpandingtheirown skills.
· I havealwaystried to createa workplacewhereemployees knewthey werethere to
work,learn,and providethebestserviceto thecustomer aspossible,in thesafest
manner possible.
Assets
· As a rigmanager,of courseI was required to maintain,service,and keep track of all
assetson thedrillingrig,and themaintainingaccuraterecordsof all liftingand
overhead equipmentwasalso paramount.
Operations
· I was responsiblefor all logistical activities,fromdaily operations,maintenance
requirements,andpersonnel responsibilities,to rigmoves,shut-downs,start-ups,etc.
Safety
· I havealwaysconsidered thesafety of all workersof paramountimportance,and have
doneeverythingpossibleover theyearsto providea safework environment.I have
received many milestonesafety awardsover theyearsfromtheCAODC in Canada. I
believethetrainingof safety iseveryone’sresponsibility,andhavealwaysexpected
the samefrommy employees.
In the 15 years I spentwith Nabors,I had received eight'Injury FreeWork Days' awards
fromthe CAODC,includingfour200-day,one250-day,andone500-dayawards.

years,worked on both teli-doubles and triplesfor NaborsDrilling,and havealways
covered on other operationswhen required.

· I worked mywayup throughthe ranks duringthis period, first for Tetonka Drilling, which
later waspurchasedbyNabors Drilling Canada.
2009-2010 · Duringthis period therewasno work availabledueto the recession,and I worked for
Simmons Drillingin Albania fora period of 6 months.
· I then worked 5 months for COSLon a jackup rig offshoreinthePersianGulf. As an
AssistantDriller for COSL,I gained experienceworkingwith theNOVCyberbasesystem,
runningan iron roughneckand tubularrackingsystem,aswell asdailydutiesand
responsibilitiesrelevantto theposition.
· I returned to Nabors in 2010.
CURRENT ACHEIVEMENTS
Murchison platform awarded IADC Chairman’s Award, which recognize individual rigs and their
crews that had the best safety performance in 2014/2015
Murchison Platform Awarded KCAD Rig of the year, based on contractual Targets and Safety
performance 2014/2015.
Successful completion of the decommissioning of the Murchison Platform in the North Sea.
