La sexualidad en el adulto mayor es una condición que requiere mucha capacidad de diálogo
entre la pareja, como expresión de afectos, de capacidad de amar, ternura, confianza, pues con
ello se evocará el placer con o sin actividad sexual, lo que es fundamental para lograr una óptima
salud sexual.
Una buena salud sexual en las personas y en los adultos mayores en particular previene el
infarto, combate la depresión, mejora la memoria y el sistema inmunológico, evita el estrés y
ayuda a envejecer con calidad de vida.

físico, psicológico y emocional individual, de pareja y no desde los estereotipos sociales
impuestos por una sociedad donde aún se piensa que la sexualidad es sinónimo de
penetración y procreación.
