In the Tree of Life we can, therefore, find answers to the basic questions of life. But I would say
one of the most important topics, one of the focal points in the mysteries is that we develop to
the point where we can ask questions. Most people expect an answer without being able to ask

people ask themselves such a question daily? That’s a topic that concerns us every day, and one
that we could constantly try to deal with. Or — where do I come from?
Who Am I? Why Do I Exist? What Is My Purpose

feel today — is it how I act, my feelings towards myself, towards other people? These are the
basic questions we could be dealing with. The maturity of our consciousness also determines the
quality and maturity of our questions. So that means we can’t get deep, meaningful answers if
we’re still unable to ask these questions. And only when you can ask the question, can you
embark on the path. The question is the beginning of being led to a solution.
Before we have the will, the open vessel, that allows us ask a question, we are still unable to
develop in a certain direction. Only through the basic questions that help us to start researching,
will we start dealing with a topic, and ultimately, if we remain constant on this path, will we
have the opportunity to find an answer.
The Mystical Diagram of the Tree of Life
The diagram of the Tree of Life is a tool for this. Of course, you can only work with this tool if
you can ask the right questions. It’s not enough to be shown a diagram, and to say that it answers
all our questions about our life and how our life works and how the cosmos works, where the
cosmos comes from, where people come from, to where people develop — these are some of the
basic questions we can find in the Tree of Life. But the answers, of course, are only accessible if
we first ask the right questions.
Such a diagram offers us many possibilities for this. So you could ask questions like — why
does this symbol consist of ten spheres, why are these ten spheres connected by twenty-two
paths? Or you could ask — are these absolute colors, that is, colors that cannot be replaced?
Why do these colors exist? How does a symbol like this answer the fundamental questions of
life?
At first sight, you might say that somehow this symbol doesn’t seem quite harmonious. You
might think, here something doesn’t quite make sense, and there something seems to be missing,
and so on. But over the course of our studies we come to the conclusion that there is a great
harmony hidden within it, and that this harmony expresses itself one-to-one, without delay,
directly in our lives. Our entire individual lives, the entire life existence of humanity, the entire
cosmos can now be experienced — our entire creation process can be reflected and also reflects
perfectly in this diagram

5. We see certain numbers within the diagram which are only shown for practical reasons, in order
to assist us in our understanding. Originally these numbers wouldn’t need to be there, but they
help us to find a chronology. And it’s extremely difficult to understand the Tree of Life using a
linear way of thinking, because creation happens all at once.
The Ten Sephiroth
The original God is represented in Kether, and then polarity and sexuality come into play in
Chokmah, Binah and Tiphareth, and that’s where what we understand as divinity really begins.
And then in Chesed, Geburah and Yesod we find principles, the forces that appear in life — the
balance between severity and grace.
What is also interesting is that each sphere that has a color, and none of these colors is random.
Mixing the blue in Chesed and the red in Geburah results in the violet in Yesod. If we look at
another correlation, the blue in Chesed and the yellow in Tiphareth result in the green in
Netzach. Red and yellow make orange, and so on. We can see how the light becomes more and
more condensed, going from the pure energy in Kether, to the gray in Chokmah, to the dark
indigo in Binah. The spheres then continue to emanate downward toward manifestation.
In Yesod we find what we call the subconsciousness — this is the sphere of subconscious
programs, automatisms, dreams — you could also say the animal consciousness finds its home
here. From there, Malkuth emerge. Netzach, one could say, is the sphere of our desires, feelings
and emotional nature. Hod is the intellectual-mental-sphere. And Malkuth is the sphere of
earthly manifestation, body, matter, the physical, visible world.

realms. If you waste your human form to chase desires in this material world, you will recycle

The Tree of Life can be likened to a spiritual map that can be used in your everyday life. It has
paths that inspirationally guide you from one area of life into another.
The teachings can help you to identify your dreams and turn them into something real, and also
help with life’s challenges. Whatever is happening in your life you can map it on the Tree of
Life. Through applying the practical teachings and meditation, you can find different ways to
overcome your difficulties.
There are no judgements – no Rights or Wrongs. There is only the way that is Right for You in
line with the Will of the Soul and personal needs.
The Tree of Life has many levels. There are ―Worlds within Worlds‖.
To look at a picture of the Tree of Life you can see there are 10 circles and a lot of lines. The
lines are known as ―Paths‖ and align with the major Trump (karmic) tarot cards. The coloured
circles are called sephirah (singular) or sephiroth (plural).
Each sephirah is numbered and linked to a planet, and many other correspondences.
There is another region on the Tree of Life which is quite often hidden or shown only as a
dotted circle. This area is linked to Pluto (Daath) and situated vertically between the white and
yellow circles.
Everything in the Universe is energy of one form or another. As the planets move they form
configurations and are positioned in ways that consistently bring about the same sort of results.
The energy of each planet affects us in different ways. For example:
The Moon governs our emotional reactions and responses, and cycles we find ourselves

Emotional Independence
Mercury (Hod): this sephirah aligns with our own Personal Will. It deals with Personal
Attitudes and the way we build images in the mind. Truth (personal)

the ―Bigger Picture‖ in more depth. Here we aspire to commune with Ascended Masters –
Teachers of Humanity – to understand our place in the jigsaw of life. Growth
Saturn (Binah): Binah represents structure and discipline. Here we learn about the importance
of Silence and the role of the ―Spiritual Mother‖ who watches over her Children. Restriction
Uranus (Chokmah): Chokmah aligns with Spiritual Truths. Here we experience the force of
the universal energy and learn how to channel it down, and through us, in a controlled and safe
manner. Spiritual Will (Purpose and Direction).
Neptune (Kether): the spiritual energy of Kether inspires us to just ―BE‖. This sephirah is the
source of all energy. Kether represents the beginning and the end – the first spark of creation,
and reunion with the Source. Self / Spiritual Desire
The Paths:
The Paths on the Tree of Life are representative of the journey we walk in life. Each path aligns
with a major tarot card. These cards are known as Karmic or Trump cards. Through
understanding what the paths and teachings mean, we can help ourselves find more effective
ways of handling Life Challenges.
The first path guides us from the sephirah of the Earth plane – otherwise known in Hebrew as
Malkuth – to the Moon sephirah of Yesod. This path is called the Universe Path. The Universe
path helps us to understand the Cycles of Life.
The karmic (Trump) tarot card this path aligns with is the Universe card. The Universe card
works with the energy of the planet Saturn. If this tarot card appears in a reading it can indicate
a refusal to learn the lessons of life. It is this refusal to learn from our life experiences that ties

The Journey:
