2. T-shirt: A T-Shirt is a style of unisex Clothing named
after the T shape of its body and sleeves. It normally has
short sleeves and a round neckline, known as a crew neck,
which lacks a collar.
3. Price: Price means product cost plus profit. On the other
hand the amount of money expected, required, or given in
payment for something is called price.
Price Variation: The difference between the actual
and standard prices of one product, which multiplied by
how much input was used. The price variance can be used
by a business to assess the change between expected and
actual input prices, since a positive price variance reflects
an unfavorable cost rise, while a negative result indicates
a favorable cost decrease.
4. Objectives:
To find out the price variation of T-shirt.
To identify the price of highest selling T-shirt.
Methodology:
To find out the price variation of T-shirt, at first we all
physically went to shopping mall and we saw different T-shirts
in different shops. Then we collected all information about T-
shirt by asking questions to the sellers. Then we observed the
price variation. We observed different features of T-shirts,
design of T-shirt and their Fabrics, Printing, Embroidery etc. We
have noted the highest and lowest prices of T-shirts in
Bashundhara shopping mall.
5. History of the T-shirt:
The T-shirt evolved from undergarments used in the 19th
century. Firstly one-piece union suit underwear was cut
into separate top and bottom garments, with the top long
enough to tuck under the waistband of the bottoms with or
without buttons.
In 1898 Spanish-American war and 1913, when the U.S.
Navy began issuing them as undergarments. These were a
crew-necked, short-sleeved, white cotton undershirt to be
worn under a uniform.
The word T-shirt became part of American English by the
1920s, and appeared in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary
6. T-shirt became popular as a bottom layer of clothing for
workers in various industries, including agriculture in 1916.
It became more popular in the 1950s after Marlon
Brando wore one in “A Streetcar Named Desire”.
In Bangladesh early in the 1990s, the knit section expanded
and mainly producing and exporting T-shirts, Trousers etc.

T-shirts are available in variety of colors, patterns and
styles.

shirt we went to Bashundhara city shopping
mall on 11/11/2017 and 17/11/2017. We saw
different T-shirts in different shops.

20. The findings of the fieldwork will be helpful for
T-shirt’s retailer to make their business more

This project will be helpful for those students
who want to do research in same topic in future.
21. To do project, is new for us, but at last we
have completed our project successfully by the
grace of Allah.
From the market survey this project we have
got clean picture about price of T-shirt in
Bashundhara City Shopping Mall. This project
will be helpful in our future life.
