8. CAUSES
Certain types of cardiovascular
disease have a direct cause.
For example, heart attack and stroke
primarily result because of disruption in
the flow of blood to the heart or the brain
caused due to a blockage.
9. But a majority of
cardiovascular diseases do
not have a direct cause.
Instead, they are triggered
by a combination of risk
factors such as unhealthy
eating habits, smoking,
excessive alcohol &
tobacco use, obesity,
diabetes and
hypertension.
10. Symptoms
of cardiovascular diseases
Mostly, there are no specific
symptoms that a patient may
experience when he or she
suffers from a disease of the
blood vessels. In a majority of
the cases, a heart attack is
often the first sign of the
disease.
11. The symptoms of a
HEART ATTACK are as follows
Pain in the chest (angina)
Discomfort in the chest
Pain in the elbows, back, jaw
Cold sweat
Shortness of breath
Paleness
Light-headedness
Vomiting
