Making the pattern
I need bags to retrieve and handle my animals, African Giant Pouched
Rats. Working from a designed based on the Tamarack Holding Cone and
a Decapicone, I'm drawing up a sewing pattern.
Drawing the pattern
I am beholden to Dr. Mary Ruppert-Stroescu, Assistant Professor of
Apparel Design and Textile Science here at Oklahoma State University for
giving me a quick & dirty lesson in textiles, sewing and pattern making
The Patterns laid on the rip resistant cloth
Pinning the pattern to the fabric
Pinning the cut pattern down on the fabric before the
                         cut.
Cutting the fabric
The cut fabric, surged
Surging the fabric keeps the fabric keeps it from fraying
Marking off the line for the final sewing line for the
                     drawstring
Stringing the drawstring
I was doing it all wrong at first.
Success! The final product
After hours and mis steps, I finally strung the bag correctly.
