THE REFLECTION OF MUSIC
- 1. The Reflection of Music
By Cynthia Graham
Written In Memory of Michael J Jackson
I looked into the mirror today
Hoping I would see your face.
I looked into the mirror today
Hoping there would be a trace
-Of Michael-
As I was wondering what I could write
pertaining to your life,
it seemed like the words would come
then disappear,
as if too young
-To mature-
Just as no one wants death
to be for sure
-Yet it’s true-
Your physical being
will no longer be the view we behold.
But MEMORIES of you
are like
“streets of gold”
- P R I C E L E S S -
Though I am not your sistah by blood,
My brutha Michael – you are loved.
And the legacy you leave behind
is forever etched –in our minds.
The impact that you’ve made
-soul to soul-
always engraved
- inside-
What a legend you are Mr. Michael
in our eyes.
No one can deny the fact or the phrase,
“The Greatest Entertainer Of All Time”
will always be: Michael Jackson.
No facade, no front, no lie.
Though collectively,
you’ve given us each,
a personal piece
of your soul.
See, with what you were given
you multiplied,
like the “two fish and five loaves.”
The C R E A T O R gave
such an exclusive gift
when H E had given us you.
You are The Reflection of Music.
The Reflection of Music is you.
Love, Cyndi G.
