Food Essay
When it comes to the topic of nutrition, most us will readily agree that in order to live a long and healthy life one must eat right and choose
nutritious alternatives to preserved and fast food products. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of how this can "healthy
lifestyle" can be obtained. Whereas some are convinced that trusting yourself and your body will lead to better choices, others maintain that eating
food in moderation and more fruits and vegetables is the best path to choose. "Today, more than 95% of all chronic disease is caused by food choice,
toxic food ingredients, nutritional deficiencies and lack of physical exercise." In other words, there needs to be change in how we go about our daily

"Escape from the Western Diet" is an essay that summarizes the stereotypes that are directly correlated with the western diet. Pollan advocates that
society most often chooses food that is fast, easy, and cheap. For example, fast food restaurants provide food that is inexpensive and convenient but
most people overlook the amount of calories and fat that the food contains. Most people also overlook the fact that if you chose to eat fast food or
processed food, you are more prone to obtaining diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and heart disease. Pollan claims that the idea of
nutritionalism is the best thing that has happened to society in a while and that it will ultimately bring "pleasure back into eating." Although many
people find pleasure in eating fast and easy food, in the long run it will not agreeable when it affects your body in a negative way. If more people in
society choose healthier alternatives to food, it will be beneficial in the long run both physically and emotionally. In recent studies, researchers have
found that Americas spend less than a half hour making food and more than one hour to actually eat the food. Pollan emphasizes that if individuals
spend more time preparing more fruits and veggies, which contain healthier carbohydrates, in their diet. Pollan also advises that in order to obtain

Food Essay : The Disadvantages Of Fast Food
The Disadvantage of Fast Food
Modern life becomes more and more comfortable, but people are busier and busier with their life. Therefore, people do not have time to cook at
home. Some people favor to eat fast food or at restaurants; however, not that many people favor to eat at home. Eating at home or eating at fast food
restaurants has benefits and disbenefits, so which one is better? Eating at a restaurant is similar to eating at home in many ways. Although eating out or
cooking at home, people still have to waste their income for food, spend their time to cook or go to the restaurant to eat.
For instance, sometimes people waste their time looking for parking or have to drive to a restaurant, instead of spending their time to cook. Even if
we eat at home or at a restaurant people can still taste the dishes they like. After a long day of hard work, their family enjoys eating together for a
period of time. Everyone can talk together telling some entertaining stories or share stories about their job in a family's meal. However, there are
several differences between eating out and eating at home; for example, home cooked meals are sometimes healthy. Having a healthy regular diet at
home will keep them away from many health problems. People all need food to survive, but they should learn to make wise decisions in what they eat
for the sake of their health.
The food at the restaurant may be very harmful to their health because it contains high fat, high calories, and other

My Passion For Food
Pleasure, survival, passion, greed, and enjoyment all link to one thing and that is food. There are those who are privileged enough to eat food for
pleasure, those who eat for survival, and those who eat because of stress and so much more. Some people have so much passion for food they make a
career out of it; while those who don't just enjoy the gift they create. I, on the other hand, have a hate–love relationship with food: I eat it when I'm
hungry, when I am stressed, and when I'm sad. At the end, I always end up feeling guilty for eating too much or too little. In fact, there's times when I
think about food more than I should and then again there are times when I don't think about it at all. Neither of those options are healthy. I try to make
good choices by eating veggies, fruits, and nuts and try to avoid meat. I try to have a plant based diet only, but I still eat meat when I have no other
choice since my parents are the ones who cook. They got to pick what my sister and I ate unless we were asked if we wanted something in
particular. To begin with, my relationship with food hasn't been great. For one, I am a picky eater, which is one of the reasons why I don't enjoy
meat. Secondly, I used to binge eat, then I would feel guilty about it and would throw it up. As disgusting as that sounds, my beginning stages of
bulimia are a big reason why I decided to change my diet and try a healthier alternative; however, I still slip once in awhile and make terrible food

Food Waste Essay
Food Waste Position/Proposal
By Natalie Parisi
An Introduction to the Problem
Food waste is something that affects us all. It happens anywhere food has a presence; the grocery store, restaurants, in our homes, at schools, on farms,
in production and even in transportation. It affects people everywhere; those living oceans away and those that share our boarders, people living across
America and throughout Utah, businesses and households alike.
Being Aware is a Personal Responsibility
So is the problem food waste itself, or that food is being thrown out when there are alternative options? Or is it that we just don't stop to consider
there is a problem? My concern is that it's not a priority for most people. In addition, there are...show more content...
(Sklamberg, par.3)
Claiming Ownership
In our homes waste caused because we don't pay attention; we are inattentive and ignorant. For some of us, it just isn't important. (Jones, Dive!)
Wasting food is a bad habit that affects all of society and we continue to implicate ourselves in the problem. Of the total of food loss that is going on
about 40 percent is in the household. Overall a typical household of four loses about 600 dollars in food a year. (Jones 11)
Like many things, we just don't bother or we don't feel that we have the time. We aren't realizing how much it affects each of us. Have you ever taken
the time to stop and think about it?
Thinking about it, I realize that every day I throw something away that could be saved and eaten later. When I take the trash out there are a number
of food items that don't need to be there. After we finish dinner I am wiping food off of plates and realizing that I've made too much. Every time I
clean out the fridge there is food going into the garbage because I waited too long to use it. Whatever the reason, I realize that it does affect me in
many ways and it's constantly happening in my home.
Looking at the Impacts of Food Waste
Food Waste affects our pocket book because we are essentially throwing out money. At the same time it is impacting us financially it's also playing a
huge role in the problems we see happening to our environment.
The US Environment Protection Agency said, "Generating food waste

My Favorite Experience Of Eating Food
As a foodie, eating foods is my favorite thing and I also find my speciality in eating, that is tasting food and know the condiment in every dishes.
When I was a child, I usually go to kitchen to see adults cooking. My intention is not to learn how to cook, but to know where the dishes that I felt
very delicious from out of curiosity. As time passed, I knew the recipe of every dishes that I like gradually and learned how to improve ittaste. I born at
a country that have many delicious foods and the cuisine like to use many kinds of condiments. Through the process of knowing the recipe of cuisine,
I also learned many condiments and their use. I didn't know I can have the skill that I can know what condiments put in dishes until I was in middle
school. Once a time, I taste a food that cooked by an aunt, then I asked her if this dish used some sugar and Thirteen Spice (a spice that produced at
China) and cooked by olive oil rather than sesame oil. The aunt is very surprised that I got the whole right condiments. She praised me a lot and said
I had this skill that other people don't have. After that, I begin to notice my gustation and form a habit that Before I eat each dish, I have to try and
guess what kind of seasoning is in it. Until now, I still keep this habit.
The process of tasting is happy for me, I enjoy the feeling that food melt in my mouse and the flavour disperse gradually. But it also exists some
problems, I have the keen taste sense and smell over the average,

Food And Drink Essay
How to Eat and Drink Healthily when Travelling Maintaining a healthy diet while travelling is not the world's easiest thing to do. Not only is your
access to food restricted by what is available around you, but also the temptations to snack and eat junk food are enhanced when you hit the road. The
good news is that eating and drinking healthily isn't impossible – you just need to keep these tips and tricks in mind the next time you hit the road.
Packing healthier options with you The most obvious way to avoid indulging in bad snacks and drinks is by packing healthier options with you. If
you have healthy food with you, you naturally won't feel the need to spend money and end up making bad choices. So, instead of being forced to buy

You don't have to just rely on packed goods in order to stay healthy– it is possible to buy healthy foods and drinks at your destination and on the road.
When shopping at the airport or station (gas, bus or train), try to consider the above food choices as your go to items. Purchase turkey or chicken
sandwiches, look for nut and fruit mixes with no added chocolate or sugar and skip the sugary beverages for water. Yogurt can be a great option,
especially when soothing an upset stomach and opt for salads whenever possible. Just remember to have the dressing on the side to avoid those
sneaky calories. Furthermore, check your options beforehand! If you know the route and especially the stations you'll be stopping by, check out what
supermarkets or brands are available. You can even find discounts from VoucherBin to eat at restaurants across the UK to ensure you eat healthy and
save money. For example, if you are staying at a Premier Inn, browse their website to see the menu and plan your meals ahead of time. The same
works with stations, as you can generally see the stores available at the station and plan your shopping accordingly. Make smarter

Essay About Cafeteria
A cafeteria is a place wherein you can choose the food you want and buy it. In a cafeteria there is a big variety of food to choose from. You can eat
the food that you bought from the cafeteria or that you brought from home in the dining area of the cafeteria. I have been studying in FEU Diliman for
two semesters now and I have noticed how the cafeteria is for these two semesters.
As a college student of FEU Diliman, I must say that there should be a lot of changes in the cafeteria of our school. Our cafeteria should have a
larger variety of foods to choose from. The variety of foods that are in our cafeteria every day is not much and people would opt to buy food from
outside the school instead. They should make more food to sell everyday since there are a lot of elementary, high school and college students buying
food from the cafeteria everyday. The cafeteria should sell foods that have proper protein and that are nutritious. They should also sell food that has
vegetables because it is healthy for example they could make vegetable stew. Different types of fruits should also be sold because sometimes the
students wants to buy fruits but the cafeteria person says that the fruits are only for the varsity players. Varsity players and students don't have a...show

In my opinion they should not sell soft drinks at all at the cafeteria. If college students want to buy soft drinks they can buy it from outside the school
instead. Elementary and high school students would get tempted to buy soft drinks because they see it in the cafeteria but they can't so they would
buy it outside the school instead. Soft drinks are not good to drink because they contain a lot of sugar in them and the student might become hyper or
have a lot of energy because of that. If the student will buy the soft drink at school he or she might become addicted to drinking it because of the

The Most Memorable Meal Essay
The Most Memorable Meal
As a food lover and adventurous eater, I've certainly eaten so many kinds of food from many countries around the world. And I have a lot of good
and bad moments related to food. However, when you ask me about the most memorable meal that I have eaten in my life, perhaps the first thing that
appears in my mind is my daddy's soup.
It was 10 years ago, when I was just a little boy. At that time, my mom had so much work at her office and she just couldn't come back home until 9
p.m. In my family, my mom was the only one who could prepare food and cook. So when she called my dad and said that she couldn't come back home
early to cook a meal for me and my father, we thought that we were having the biggest problem in...show more content...
And I was so surprised about my dad's soup. All my thoughts about a great meal were taken down. The soup was not as delicious as it looked, it
tasted so weird: at first, I felt it so salty, after a while, it tasted so spicy. After tasting the first sip, I looked at my dad and smiled. He just thought
that he was successful with his soup until he tried his first sip. Then he knew how his soup was and he said "Sorry son, I tried my best, maybe we
can wait for mom to come back home and cook dinner for us." As soon as he finished speaking, I took the spoon, continued eating the soup and smiled.
I know the soup was not good, but it was from my dad, from all his love for me. I don't know if my dad knew what I was thinking or not, or maybe
he thought that I was so hungry to eat everything even though it tasted too bad. My dad was so surprised about my act for a while, and he
continued to eat the soup with me. We both had a great time together, eating and talking with each other about bad things, good things at work and
school. After that, my mom finally came home. She looked so tired from her work, but she still smiled and looked at me and my dad while both of
us were eating soup. She surely knew my dad made something for me and she slowly went forward to the table and started tasting the soup. After her
tasting, not a single word, she hugged both of us with her slender arms and also with all her heart. This

Food Essay : My Favorite Food
Food is the one thing that we cannot live without. Even for those who have developed the discipline to fast for a specified period, eventually, they
must start eating again. We love our food to the point that recorded in history as being the first sin. Food is something we all enjoy, and sometimes
it shows. Most of the human race eats three to four meals a day, and the selection of those foods are not a part of the recommended daily allowances. I
will share my favorite foods, my least favorite foods, and the reason I eat the way that I do and what foods I will incorporate for a balance diet.
For me, my favorite likes are warm–hot rolls. I prefer wheat more than white with lots of butter. Biscuits with butter and my homemade apple butter or
bacon jam. Oh, my it's yummy. I also make granola bars with some butter smeared on the bottom of the pan. I put the butter on the parchment paper
which is the last step before I place them in the oven for 25 minutes in a low–temperature oven. Another one of my likes is my butter crГЁme frosting
on top of a white or chocolate cake, and I scoop the frosting off with lays potatoes chips. These are my special treat items that I occasionally enjoy.
The food that I enjoy the most is Mexican food. Burrito smothered in green chill, Carnitas, quesadillas, tacos, guacamole, are my favorite picks. With
the population of Hispanics being so large in Colorado my family enjoys eating Mexican food. The Mexican food here in North Carolina

Street Food: An Essay On Street Food
Introduction
Street food is exactly what the words conjure up: food available in a public place, such as from a vendor on a street. And so much more!
Typically, street food is tasty, ready–to–eat food or drink sold on the street, in a market, fair, park or other public place. It is sold by a hawker or vendor
from a portable stall, cart or food truck. Some street foods are regional but many are not, having spread beyond their place of origin and enjoyed
locally for their exotic or unusual ingredients and flavors. Most street foods are considered both finger food and fast food and are more reasonably
priced than restaurant meals. 2.5 billion People worldwide eat street food every day, according to a 2007 Food and Agriculture Organization study.

Today, it has become an urban mainstay in large cities and small towns alike, and continues to evolve and tempt the passersby on streets around the
world. We can definitely say that street food existed in ancient Greece. The most popular meal was fried fish. Ancient Rome had its street food
vendors too. I should admit that street foods were consumed by poor citizens. Very few people had an oven or a hearth in their houses.
Consequently, they could not cook at home and had to purchase cheap food in the street. The most common meal of that time was soup with bread.
When we speak about ancient China, we will say that it was one of the first countries, which had catering. Of course, the poor bought and consumed
this food in the street. The rich could afford a servant who bought street food and carried it to their homes. The standards of street food were not
regulated until the first part of the 15th century. The first country, which legalized street food and established its standards, was Turkey. The most
popular street meals of Turkey and other Eastern countries were rice, lamb kebab, fried chicken, etc. As you see, meat occupied the leading position in

Eating Is Something That I Love And Enjoy
Eating is something that I love and enjoy greatly, I love to try new foods and explore new recipes with my girlfriend. We generally try to make one
new recipe each week. I am not a very picky eater, however, there are some foods that I do not enjoy at all, such as asparagus, mushrooms, and
brussels sprouts. Most people sit down and have three larger meals a day along with some snacks. I don't eat very much at one time. Generally, I
will eat two eggs in the morning, half a sandwich for lunch with salad or another side, and for dinner I will have a regular sized portion of
whatever we decide to cook that night. I do enjoy snacking on little things like crackers throughout the day as well. My eating habits revolve around
a busy schedule; I am a full time student and I have two jobs. So, I spend a lot of time eating in my car or at work. I work with a little boy who is
non–verbal and has autism. He is quite a handful; whenever I am with him I need something I can eat quickly such as a sandwich, piece of fruit, or
a protein bar. I generally try to eat fairly healthy when I can, which is often hard being so busy and not having a lot of money. To go back to where
my eating habits all started. When I was younger my family ate a lot of processed foods. My mom was gone on business trips a lot. So, that left my
dad in charge for taking care of my brother and I; he was not the best cook. We would eat things such as ham steak, pasta, ring dings, and even hotdogs

Food And Its Impact On Society
Everyone on earth needs food to sustain themselves, but have we ever thought to consider what we put in our mouths? Foods have changed greatly as
humans continue to advance technologically. The greatest change of food however comes from society. The foods that we eat and create are
influenced greatly by societies behaviors and habits. Foods in a culture sometimes represent a society itself. These habits vary from around the world.
The easiest and most efficient way for a society to sustain itself is to produce its own food. As nomadic societies grew larger they were forced to settle
and become somewhat of a agricultural society to sustain their larger population. The crops that were produced varied around the world but as the
world became more technologically advanced foods could be anywhere at any time we wanted. As populations rise people had to find a way to
produce a great deal of food in a short amount of time. Back then it was simple because there were not many mouths to feed. The people of today
are concerned about the health issues of food ever since it was industrialized. According to Texas A and M university the meat inspection act was
made for, " Detection and Destruction of diseased meat and/or contaminated meat." These laws and acts came in place for concern of the people.
Even today there is controversy with genetically grown foods. There are major benefits to genetically grown crops such as growing crops fast but there
are also concerns. According to

how well our body functions. Without proper diet, our body cannot carry out the functions it needs to perform. Most people have some common

These include obesity, diabetes, and several heart conditions. Obesity is the term used for someone who qualifies as significantly overweight. A
BMI (Body Mass Index) records weight in relation to height. A BMI of 25 is overweight and a BMI of 30 is obese. Obesity is not a disease in its
self but it can lead to different health issues, some fatal. Obesity can be related to eighty percent of type two diabetes, seventy percent of
cardiovascular disease, thirty percent to gall bladder surgeries, and forty two percent to breast and colon cancer. Unfortunately, obesity rates in
people are rising rapidly. The United States alone had an obesity rate of twenty six percent in 2007. Some cases of obesity are gene related, but
most other cases are a result of improper dieting and exercise among the individual ("Why Is Proper Nutrition Important?", Case Western Reserve
University). Type II diabetes is another major effect from improper diet and nutrition. When someone is a type II diabetic, their body either produces
too little of an amount of insulin, or their body's cells ignore the insulin. Insulin is important in helping your body use sugar for Kavanaugh 3 energy.
When a person consumes food with sugar, the sugar is broken down into glucose. Glucose is used as an energy source for the body and is transported
throughout your blood into the cells by insulin. Without proper amounts of insulin, your body is unable to use the glucose as

The Effects Of Food On The Body Essay
Food
Food is any nourishing substance that is eaten, drunk or otherwise taken into the body to sustain life. Food supplies nutrients to perform important
functions in the body. Nutrients are substances that provide energy for physical activities, for digestion and for regulation of body temperature and also
provide materials for the growth and repair of the body, and for keeping the immune system healthy. If these nutrients are not present in our food in
sufficient amount, could lead to ill health and in severe cases, death.
The human body requires a wide range of nutrients to stay healthy such as 'macronutrients ' micronutrients, water and fiber. A macronutrient is a major
nutritional component present in relatively large amounts, such as carbohydrates, protein, and fat. Micronutrients, also major nutritional components
that are present in relatively small amounts, such as vitamins & minerals. The body also needs water, which is needed for every process that the body
performs, it is necessary for digestion, absorption, circulatory and excretory function. Fiber helps to move food through the digestive system, it is not
digested but it helps in the easy elimination of food and prevents constipation

Another example would be Chinese like to eat hot pot in winter to keep them warm. In the northern part of China, there are more spicy dishes than
the southern part of China. This is because eating spicy food will keep people warm. In costal region, there is more seafood than the inland region.
The reason is because it is easier to get fresh seafood in costal region than in the inland region. Japan is an island surrounded by sea, and that is
why eating seafood is famous in Japan. Some locations are better for growing specific food, for example China have the climate advantage in
growing tea, and France have the advantage in growing wine. Religion is another external factors influencing food habits and food culture.
Different culture has different religion, different religion has different custom and food is an important part of a religion. Some religion such as
Muslims, consider eating pork as a dirty food, and people should not eat them. Buddhism do not recommend members to eat meat, because they
think that is cruel to kill an animal and that we should respect them so we should not eat them. Therefore, a lot of Buddhism followers are
vegetarians. Hinduism followers do not eat cow because they think that cows are scarce. People who believe in a religion will follow the rules of the
religion, so this will influence their food habit. Some religions do not have rules about food, but they have specific food to eat.

  • 1. Food Essay When it comes to the topic of nutrition, most us will readily agree that in order to live a long and healthy life one must eat right and choose nutritious alternatives to preserved and fast food products. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of how this can "healthy lifestyle" can be obtained. Whereas some are convinced that trusting yourself and your body will lead to better choices, others maintain that eating food in moderation and more fruits and vegetables is the best path to choose. "Today, more than 95% of all chronic disease is caused by food choice, toxic food ingredients, nutritional deficiencies and lack of physical exercise." In other words, there needs to be change in how we go about our daily diet....show more content... "Escape from the Western Diet" is an essay that summarizes the stereotypes that are directly correlated with the western diet. Pollan advocates that society most often chooses food that is fast, easy, and cheap. For example, fast food restaurants provide food that is inexpensive and convenient but most people overlook the amount of calories and fat that the food contains. Most people also overlook the fact that if you chose to eat fast food or processed food, you are more prone to obtaining diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and heart disease. Pollan claims that the idea of nutritionalism is the best thing that has happened to society in a while and that it will ultimately bring "pleasure back into eating." Although many people find pleasure in eating fast and easy food, in the long run it will not agreeable when it affects your body in a negative way. If more people in society choose healthier alternatives to food, it will be beneficial in the long run both physically and emotionally. In recent studies, researchers have found that Americas spend less than a half hour making food and more than one hour to actually eat the food. Pollan emphasizes that if individuals spend more time preparing more fruits and veggies, which contain healthier carbohydrates, in their diet. Pollan also advises that in order to obtain enough nutrients to grow Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 3. Food Essay : The Disadvantages Of Fast Food The Disadvantage of Fast Food Modern life becomes more and more comfortable, but people are busier and busier with their life. Therefore, people do not have time to cook at home. Some people favor to eat fast food or at restaurants; however, not that many people favor to eat at home. Eating at home or eating at fast food restaurants has benefits and disbenefits, so which one is better? Eating at a restaurant is similar to eating at home in many ways. Although eating out or cooking at home, people still have to waste their income for food, spend their time to cook or go to the restaurant to eat. For instance, sometimes people waste their time looking for parking or have to drive to a restaurant, instead of spending their time to cook. Even if we eat at home or at a restaurant people can still taste the dishes they like. After a long day of hard work, their family enjoys eating together for a period of time. Everyone can talk together telling some entertaining stories or share stories about their job in a family's meal. However, there are several differences between eating out and eating at home; for example, home cooked meals are sometimes healthy. Having a healthy regular diet at home will keep them away from many health problems. • 4. My Passion For Food Pleasure, survival, passion, greed, and enjoyment all link to one thing and that is food. There are those who are privileged enough to eat food for pleasure, those who eat for survival, and those who eat because of stress and so much more. Some people have so much passion for food they make a career out of it; while those who don't just enjoy the gift they create. I, on the other hand, have a hate–love relationship with food: I eat it when I'm hungry, when I am stressed, and when I'm sad. At the end, I always end up feeling guilty for eating too much or too little. In fact, there's times when I think about food more than I should and then again there are times when I don't think about it at all. Neither of those options are healthy. I try to make good choices by eating veggies, fruits, and nuts and try to avoid meat. I try to have a plant based diet only, but I still eat meat when I have no other choice since my parents are the ones who cook. They got to pick what my sister and I ate unless we were asked if we wanted something in particular. To begin with, my relationship with food hasn't been great. For one, I am a picky eater, which is one of the reasons why I don't enjoy meat. Secondly, I used to binge eat, then I would feel guilty about it and would throw it up. As disgusting as that sounds, my beginning stages of bulimia are a big reason why I decided to change my diet and try a healthier alternative; however, I still slip once in awhile and make terrible food Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Food Waste Essay Food Waste Position/Proposal By Natalie Parisi An Introduction to the Problem Food waste is something that affects us all. It happens anywhere food has a presence; the grocery store, restaurants, in our homes, at schools, on farms, in production and even in transportation. It affects people everywhere; those living oceans away and those that share our boarders, people living across America and throughout Utah, businesses and households alike. Being Aware is a Personal Responsibility So is the problem food waste itself, or that food is being thrown out when there are alternative options? Or is it that we just don't stop to consider there is a problem? My concern is that it's not a priority for most people. In addition, there are...show more content... (Sklamberg, par.3) Claiming Ownership In our homes waste caused because we don't pay attention; we are inattentive and ignorant. For some of us, it just isn't important. (Jones, Dive!) Wasting food is a bad habit that affects all of society and we continue to implicate ourselves in the problem. Of the total of food loss that is going on about 40 percent is in the household. Overall a typical household of four loses about 600 dollars in food a year. (Jones 11) Like many things, we just don't bother or we don't feel that we have the time. We aren't realizing how much it affects each of us. Have you ever taken the time to stop and think about it? Thinking about it, I realize that every day I throw something away that could be saved and eaten later. When I take the trash out there are a number of food items that don't need to be there. After we finish dinner I am wiping food off of plates and realizing that I've made too much. Every time I clean out the fridge there is food going into the garbage because I waited too long to use it. Whatever the reason, I realize that it does affect me in many ways and it's constantly happening in my home. Looking at the Impacts of Food Waste Food Waste affects our pocket book because we are essentially throwing out money. At the same time it is impacting us financially it's also playing a huge role in the problems we see happening to our environment.

Purchase turkey or chicken sandwiches, look for nut and fruit mixes with no added chocolate or sugar and skip the sugary beverages for water. Yogurt can be a great option, especially when soothing an upset stomach and opt for salads whenever possible. Just remember to have the dressing on the side to avoid those sneaky calories. Furthermore, check your options beforehand! If you know the route and especially the stations you'll be stopping by, check out what supermarkets or brands are available. You can even find discounts from VoucherBin to eat at restaurants across the UK to ensure you eat healthy and save money. • 9. Essay About Cafeteria A cafeteria is a place wherein you can choose the food you want and buy it. In a cafeteria there is a big variety of food to choose from. You can eat the food that you bought from the cafeteria or that you brought from home in the dining area of the cafeteria. I have been studying in FEU Diliman for two semesters now and I have noticed how the cafeteria is for these two semesters. As a college student of FEU Diliman, I must say that there should be a lot of changes in the cafeteria of our school. Our cafeteria should have a larger variety of foods to choose from. The variety of foods that are in our cafeteria every day is not much and people would opt to buy food from outside the school instead. They should make more food to sell everyday since there are a lot of elementary, high school and college students buying food from the cafeteria everyday. The cafeteria should sell foods that have proper protein and that are nutritious. They should also sell food that has vegetables because it is healthy for example they could make vegetable stew. Different types of fruits should also be sold because sometimes the students wants to buy fruits but the cafeteria person says that the fruits are only for the varsity players. • 10. The Most Memorable Meal Essay The Most Memorable Meal As a food lover and adventurous eater, I've certainly eaten so many kinds of food from many countries around the world. And I have a lot of good and bad moments related to food. However, when you ask me about the most memorable meal that I have eaten in my life, perhaps the first thing that appears in my mind is my daddy's soup. It was 10 years ago, when I was just a little boy. At that time, my mom had so much work at her office and she just couldn't come back home until 9 p.m. In my family, my mom was the only one who could prepare food and cook. So when she called my dad and said that she couldn't come back home early to cook a meal for me and my father, we thought that we were having the biggest problem in...show more content... And I was so surprised about my dad's soup. All my thoughts about a great meal were taken down. The soup was not as delicious as it looked, it tasted so weird: at first, I felt it so salty, after a while, it tasted so spicy. After tasting the first sip, I looked at my dad and smiled. He just thought that he was successful with his soup until he tried his first sip. Then he knew how his soup was and he said "Sorry son, I tried my best, maybe we can wait for mom to come back home and cook dinner for us." As soon as he finished speaking, I took the spoon, continued eating the soup and smiled. I know the soup was not good, but it was from my dad, from all his love for me. I don't know if my dad knew what I was thinking or not, or maybe he thought that I was so hungry to eat everything even though it tasted too bad. My dad was so surprised about my act for a while, and he continued to eat the soup with me. We both had a great time together, eating and talking with each other about bad things, good things at work and school. After that, my mom finally came home. She looked so tired from her work, but she still smiled and looked at me and my dad while both of us were eating soup. She surely knew my dad made something for me and she slowly went forward to the table and started tasting the soup. After her tasting, not a single word, she hugged both of us with her slender arms and also with all her heart. This Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Food Essay : My Favorite Food Food is the one thing that we cannot live without. Even for those who have developed the discipline to fast for a specified period, eventually, they must start eating again. We love our food to the point that recorded in history as being the first sin. Food is something we all enjoy, and sometimes it shows. Most of the human race eats three to four meals a day, and the selection of those foods are not a part of the recommended daily allowances. I will share my favorite foods, my least favorite foods, and the reason I eat the way that I do and what foods I will incorporate for a balance diet. For me, my favorite likes are warm–hot rolls. I prefer wheat more than white with lots of butter. Biscuits with butter and my homemade apple butter or bacon jam. Oh, my it's yummy. I also make granola bars with some butter smeared on the bottom of the pan. I put the butter on the parchment paper which is the last step before I place them in the oven for 25 minutes in a low–temperature oven. Another one of my likes is my butter crГЁme frosting on top of a white or chocolate cake, and I scoop the frosting off with lays potatoes chips. These are my special treat items that I occasionally enjoy. The food that I enjoy the most is Mexican food. Burrito smothered in green chill, Carnitas, quesadillas, tacos, guacamole, are my favorite picks. With the population of Hispanics being so large in Colorado my family enjoys eating Mexican food. • 12. Street Food: An Essay On Street Food Introduction Street food is exactly what the words conjure up: food available in a public place, such as from a vendor on a street. And so much more! Typically, street food is tasty, ready–to–eat food or drink sold on the street, in a market, fair, park or other public place. It is sold by a hawker or vendor from a portable stall, cart or food truck. Some street foods are regional but many are not, having spread beyond their place of origin and enjoyed locally for their exotic or unusual ingredients and flavors. We can definitely say that street food existed in ancient Greece. The most popular meal was fried fish. Ancient Rome had its street food vendors too. Of course, the poor bought and consumed this food in the street. The rich could afford a servant who bought street food and carried it to their homes. The standards of street food were not regulated until the first part of the 15th century. The first country, which legalized street food and established its standards, was Turkey. • 14. Eating Is Something That I Love And Enjoy Eating is something that I love and enjoy greatly, I love to try new foods and explore new recipes with my girlfriend. We generally try to make one new recipe each week. I am not a very picky eater, however, there are some foods that I do not enjoy at all, such as asparagus, mushrooms, and brussels sprouts. Most people sit down and have three larger meals a day along with some snacks. I don't eat very much at one time. Generally, I will eat two eggs in the morning, half a sandwich for lunch with salad or another side, and for dinner I will have a regular sized portion of whatever we decide to cook that night. I do enjoy snacking on little things like crackers throughout the day as well. My eating habits revolve around a busy schedule; I am a full time student and I have two jobs. So, I spend a lot of time eating in my car or at work. I work with a little boy who is non–verbal and has autism. He is quite a handful; whenever I am with him I need something I can eat quickly such as a sandwich, piece of fruit, or a protein bar. I generally try to eat fairly healthy when I can, which is often hard being so busy and not having a lot of money. To go back to where my eating habits all started. When I was younger my family ate a lot of processed foods. My mom was gone on business trips a lot. So, that left my dad in charge for taking care of my brother and I; he was not the best cook. We would eat things such as ham steak, pasta, ring dings, and even hotdogs from a can. I was not Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Food And Its Impact On Society Everyone on earth needs food to sustain themselves, but have we ever thought to consider what we put in our mouths? Foods have changed greatly as humans continue to advance technologically. The greatest change of food however comes from society. The foods that we eat and create are influenced greatly by societies behaviors and habits. Foods in a culture sometimes represent a society itself. These habits vary from around the world. The easiest and most efficient way for a society to sustain itself is to produce its own food. As nomadic societies grew larger they were forced to settle and become somewhat of a agricultural society to sustain their larger population. The crops that were produced varied around the world but as the world became more technologically advanced foods could be anywhere at any time we wanted. As populations rise people had to find a way to produce a great deal of food in a short amount of time. Back then it was simple because there were not many mouths to feed. The people of today are concerned about the health issues of food ever since it was industrialized.
