Editor's Notes
Hi! Welcome to the Severity One Introduction. In this quick tutorial you’ll learn to what a Sev1 is and how do you know?
When a client has an incident with an IT services – we give that incident a Severity number – If only one person is affected by an outage or service request and their day to day work is not affected – we would call that non-disruptive or sev 5 incident.
On the other hand if there is an IT Services outage that affects most of the University and prevents the community from doing their work that is a Critical or Sev1 incident.
