2. Kosovo Business Registration Agency
• Kosovo Business Registration Agency is established in 2001 by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Kosovo.
• Business Registration Agency is an Independent Executive Agency that carries out the registration of all
domestic and foreign business organisations in accordance with the current applicable Company Law in
Kosovo and provides public disclosure information to interested stakeholders.
• Business Registration is centralized Agency with Head Office in capital Prishtina and 29 One-Stop-Shop’s
throughout the country.

• Unique Business Identifier Number
• Starting from March 2017, KBRA introduced Unique Business Identifier Number by abolishing all other numbers (fiscal
and export-import number).
• New electronic platform
• Starting from 11 February 2019, KBRA introduced new electronic platform for Online Business Registration
• Businesses from old system migrated and a new Unique Business Identifier Number has been generated.
• Cleaning Data from old system

7. WORLD BANK DOING BUSINESS REPORT
• The Doing Business Report is an annual report that measures the rules and practices that promote business
activity and those that limit business activity.
• Currently, information on the legal and regulatory framework is collected in 11 areas, but only 10 of them are
ranked globally. These data are then compared to 190 countries around the world and presented on yearly
report.
• The ultimate goal of this report is to improve the legal and regulatory framework in which businesses operate
within 190 countries worldwide.
• The report promotes increasing economic activity and trade, increasing domestic and foreign investment,
increasing government revenue and reducing potential abuses.
