48. Checking Out Once you have the tape you want to check out, change the “Status” to “Checked-Out”. In the “Notes” section, write the DATE, your NAME – Out. Use Main Search Window

50. All Blank Tapes, DVDs & CDs will have a pre-assigned number in the library. When taking ANY tape or DVD, you MUST check it out through MediaFiler first! Checking Out Blank Media
51. Checking Out Blank Media Once you take the blank tape from Storage, look up media number using the main search window. Enter the Title. Fill in your name under your position, so that we know who has the tape. Change “Status” from “Storage” to “In-Use”. Repeat steps for multiple media.
52. Checking In Blank Media Express Data Entry Using Express Data Entry, locate the number of the tape you used. Enter the following information: Date Length Job (B-Roll, Newsmakers, LVOD, ect.) Format: Media Type (DVCAM, Beta, DVD, etc.) Type (Master, Raw Footage, Duplication, etc.) Status: Pending Review Enter information for Producer, Director, Camera, Editor if available. Leave Notes & Keywords blank.
53. When you are finished with your blank media and it needs to get logged into the library, place it on the shelf in the West Conference Room labeled “To input into Library”. Someone will be assigned to log tapes into the library so you do not need to worry about that last step. Fill out as much information as possible so that it is easier to add the finalized tape into the library. What do you do next??
