BIBLIOGRAPHY ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],INTRODUCTION RESULTS ,[object Object],[object Object],We designed an experimental study to help parents manage the behaviour of their ADHD children. We administered psychoeducation to 12 couples with ADHD children divided into two modules of five weekly sessions of 45 minutes, with the following structure: MODULE 1 Session 1 . Information about ADHD MODULE 2 Based on cognitive-behavioral strategies and behavior modification : Session 2 . Definition of behavior and techniques for enhancing behavior (I): the reinforcement Session 3 . Token economy Session 4 . Techniques to reduce or eliminate behavior (II): negative consequences (time-out) and extinction Session 5 . Training in problem solving. Couples filled in the DuPaul Questionnaire, the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), and the Family Environment Scale (FES) at two times, before (T1) and after (T2) psychoeducation. At the end of the program, parents also completed an evaluation questionnaire. MATERIALS AND METHODS From the data gathered, we can suggest that psychoeducation reduces family conflict, helps parents have a better management of their children’s behaviour, and reinforces the relationship between parents and children. Therefore, we can conclude that a five-session psychoeducation program may improve family dynamics.
