GCFLearnFree.org. Each class completed with GCFLearnFree.org is worth 1 Continuing
Education Unit, or CEU. GCFLearnFree.org is accredited by the International Association for
Continuing Education and Training (IACET), which means that students may receive credit for
our classes with any institution or organization that accepts CEUs.
About GCFLearnFree.org and the Online Class Program
GCFLearnFree.org and the Online Class Program are completely free to learners and fully
funded by Goodwill Industries of Eastern North Carolina and the Goodwill Community
Foundation. Each year, the Online Class program awards over 12,000 CEUs to learners from all
around the world.
Each online class covers one program in the Microsoft Office suite. To complete a class, a
learner must do the following:
 Read a full course of lessons
 Complete a pre-test, three quizzes, and a post-test
 Complete three assignments and revise them, if necessary, until 100% correct
Throughout the class, a team of instructors is available to grade assignments, offer feedback,
and answer questions. By the end of the class, the learner should be familiar with all major
features of the program and feel comfortable using it for work and personal tasks.
While GCFLearnFree also offers self-paced training, our accreditation only lets us offer credit for
our instructor-led classes. The current list of classes can be found here:
gcflearnfree.org/classes. The CEU credit and certificate are only available for learners who
complete one or more of these classes, and the attached certificate should be used as proof of
class completion.
