1. Sheridan Maine (Midlands), in association Rimilia held
their inaugural #CashIsKing seminar at Edgbaston
Stadium on Monday 18 April 2016.
The suite was full of various Finance Directors,
Managing Directors and Credit Managers from
around the region all keen to learn more about
Striving for Excellence in Credit Management.
Jamie Rodden (MD of Sheridan Maine) opened the
evening, welcome guests and then passed the
lectern over to the first speaker Tim Lodge, a Rio
2016 Paralympic hopeful. Through various pictures
and videos, Tim took the audience on a tour of his
journey from Sales Director to athlete, sharing his
thoughts, fears and dreams for the coming year and
beyond. It was both a very moving and inspiring
speech for all.
Our second speaker was Brian Morgan FICM, UK Credit Manager of Veolia. Veolia
were the first organisation to be awarded “Centre of Excellence” status by the CICM
and he delivered an enriching talk on motivating teams and how to deliver results.
Following the speeches, attendees then had the opportunity to
network as well as enjoy drinks and canapés. A great evening
was had by all.
