Earlier this week, we made the trip to Orlando, FL for the first-ever CIMM2 Users Group Meeting! From February 8th to 10th, over 60 people representing 26 different companies gathered at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek to talk about e-commerce trends for 2015, new CIMM2 functionality, and how Unilog is disrupting the B2B industry.
1. CUG 2015 Event Recap
Earlier this week, we made the trip to Orlando, FL for the first-ever CIMM2 Users Group Meeting! From
February8th to 10th, over60 people representing26differentcompaniesgatheredatthe WyndhamGrand
Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek to talk about e-commerce trends for 2015, new CIMM2 functionality, and
how Unilog is disrupting the B2B industry.
The entire event was split into two tracks, one that focused on Marketing & Content for B2B e-commerce
and the other on CIMM2 Functionality & Best Practices. Company partners and customers of all different
backgrounds came together to spread ideas, ask questions, and share insights.
On the first night, Unilog hosted a Welcome Reception for those who had checked into the hotel early.
Everyone spentthe eveningenjoying passed hors d’oeuvres, libations, and great conversation with some
newand some familiarfaces!The room overlooked the hotel pool and grounds, with Disney’s Hollywood
StudiosandEpcot in the distance. We were even fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of some fireworks!
2. The next morning was the start of a day filled with TONS of content. President, Suchit Bachalli and Vice
Presidentof Sales,Joe Bennettkickedoff the day during the Opening Session with the story of Unilog and
howgrateful we are to have such an amazing customer base. As Joe stated, the three stakeholders of our
business are “The Customer, The Co-Worker, and The Shareholder – in that order”.
3. After a short break, the group then split into their two tracks where throughout the day we covered
everything from new CIMM2 functionality, search functions, taxonomy and product content, distribution
trends, UI/UX design, and social media. To close the first day, all attendees gathered in the Ballroom to
form their own communities within the user group as a forum to discuss common issues and the like.
The secondday of the usergroupwas a half-day,coveringdetailsoncurrentUnilogsupport,the future of
support,hostinginfrastructure,andthe internet-of-things.The final sessionof the usersgroupincludeda
