Nursing is among the fastest-growing occupations in the United
States through the nation still faces a significant shortfall of
qualified nurses. The shortage may
continue to be highly essential due to the aging population. The
U.S. is speculated to go through a shortage of Registered Nurses
which is expected to maximize as
baby boomers age and the need for health care maximizes. The
Registered Nursing workforce is speculated to grow from 2
million in 2019 to 3 million in 2029, a rise
of 220,000 and 7%. Impact of Nursing Shortages in an
Organization In 2014, a study was conducted in American
hospitals regarding the nursing shortage. They found
that a rise in nurses; workload by one patient maximized the
possibility of dying in 30 days of admission by 7%. The
researchers as well found out that each 10% rise
in bachelor’s degree nurses was related to a drop in patient
death by 7% (Haddad, Annamaraju, & Toney-Butler, 2020).
Insufficient nurse staffing is as well associated
with high patient mortality rates. In facilities with a limited
number of nurses, the mortality risk for patients tends to be
about 6% more on units that were under-
staffed in comparison to the well-staffed units. When a nurse’s
workload is high due to high patient turnover, mortality risk as
well tends to rise. Based on a study con-
ducted by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing
(2020), there tends to be 4.9 fewer death in 10000 patients on
intensive care units that are staffed with a
high percentage of nurses with bachelor’s degrees. Summary of
the articles
The article by Mark et al. (2019) aims to deal with the
identified causes of the nursing shortage in health care facilities
and other nations. According to the findings of
this study, the nursing shortage causes tend to be multifaceted
without worldwide or local evaluation of its nature, inefficient
planning and use of accessible nursing

resources, ineffective recruitment or undersupply of the news
staff, and worldwide people’s health conditions. Nursing
shortages tend to be at a critical point of
healthcare services on both the local and worldwide levels. The
nursing policy needs to prepare as well as put in place national
social security aims in the services of-
fered by the nurses. The program may involve general issues,
which may involve enhancing working and employment
conditions, making use of mechanism manag-
ing salary, and offering the chances for long-term learning with
the use of mobile and technological creativity as a sustainable
solution. The article by Seren and his
associates (2019) found out that nursing shortage is the main
issue in healthcare. Nurses' commitments are an essential issue
that should be addressed. The
study majored in evaluating the impact of job satisfaction as
well as work contexts on the nurses’ organizational
commitment. The establishment of techniques for
maximizing job satisfaction in nurses and developing a positive
work environment might lead administrators to maximize
organizational commitment in assisting to
the issue of nursing shortage. Strategies to address the
organization of national healthcare issue The involvement of
nursing policy is one of the solutions that can be
used in handling shortages of nurses. The new policies may
involve effective payment agreements, emergency hiring plans,
registered nurse’s residency plans, special
contracting systems, allowance directives, as well as recruiting
and guaranteeing incentives for nursing graduates and full -time
National government employment. If
the existing policies remain, they will apply downward pressure
on nursing workforce wages and benefits. Hospitals' wage and
working conditions decisions
greatly impact whether it's easy or difficult to recruit and retain
nurses. If working in an ambulatory care setting is less stressful
and more gratifying than working in a
hospital, hospitals might raise compensation to compensate for
the disparities in working circumstances and recruit more nurses
(Mark et al., 2019). Better employ-
ment offers in health care facilities tend to attract nurses and
reduce turnover. However, implementing these policies may be
expensive for the facility. Increasing the
wages for the nurses may be costly to the facility. According to
Seren et al. (2019), the establishment of techniques used to
maximize job satisfaction among nurses
and develop a positive work environment may lead
administrators to maximize organizational commitment in
helping to the nursing shortage issue. A satisfying work
environment for nurses allows them to implement nursing skills,
make autonomous nursing care choices and enhance high
nursing or clinical competence in their
professional lives—health care facilities. Health care facilities
can create a positive work environment by building an
environment in which humor is encouraged.
Nurses also require a safe place to voice their issues and ideas.
The nursing shortage is a global issue that is facing the health
care system.

Without implementing any decisive actions, nurses will have to
work under too much stress. The nurses tend to feel the weight
of the increased aging population
and increased access to public health care. Identify and describe
at least two competing needs impacting your selected healthcare
issue/stressor. Nursing is
among the fastest growing occupations in the United States
through the nation still faces a major shortfall of qualified
nurses. The shortage may continue to be very
important due to the aging populations. The United States is
speculated to go through a shortage of registered nurses which
is expected to increase as baby boomers
age and the need for health care increases. The nursing shortage
is faced with competing needs of a maximized patient
population as well as insufficient nurses
to offer the care. Along with the rise in our population’s age,
the sicknesses which require hospitalization are of a maximized
acuity. Healthcare facilities and offices
which provide frontline in the workforce to offer the best care
for their patient population. Nurses tend to be the main in the
workforce to offer the most appropriate
the care for patients seeking positive outcomes. As nurses’
shortage continues, nurses that stress due to working in, acute
situations with minimized staffing re-
sults to nurse burnout. With the continued environment of
shortages, stress as well as burnout, healthcare organi zations
may identify major impacts as well as unsat-
isfied patients (Shamsi, & Peyravi, 2020). The nurse leaders are
required will need to establish policies to help nurse in
overcoming stress and provide them sup-
port. The varying patient to nurse ratios leads to maximized
errors, high morbidity as well as mortality rates. In health care
facilities with nursing shortages,
nurses tend to experience burnout, dissatisfaction and the
patients experiences higher mortality as well as failure to rescue
rates in comparison to facilities with re-
duced patient to nurse ratios. Describe a relevant policy or
practice in your organization that may influence your selected
healthcare issue/stressor. My health
care facility has not implemented any form of policy associated
to the nursing shortage. Therefore, we tend to work in 20
consistent staff. We as well had ten other
travel nurses. We believed that healthcare facilities should have
the effective staffing to prevent a stressful work environment
which leads to unsafe patient care.
Patient care is completed during the day, at times without a
break. We do not have the ability to complete charting in real
time (Gray, McCance, & Brown, 2021).
Working in this business model of cost containment was hard
and started to trigger tension, frustration as well as angst among
employees. The model does not flow
the ethics in care which is implemented in nursing school. The
business model doesn’t maintain the Nursing code of ethics.
Upon having a discussion on the is-
sue of additional staff and not being able to offer safe as well as
effective nursing care. The main aim was met, and the team
began to grow to meet the need for the
growing patient population in our healthcare facilities. After the
initial discussion on staffing, the communication maximized and
monthly meetings with staff to pa-
tient ratio policy implemented. We have established a positive
staff to patient ratio with four Registered Nurses, two medical
assistants and two nursing assis-
tants per 15 patients. Below five patients, there are two RNs,
two MAs as well as NAs. Critique the policy for ethical
considerations and explain the policy’s
strengths and challenges in promoting ethics. Ethical issues are
part of a nurse’s every day’s activities for instance medi cation
administration vital signs or start-
ing an intravenous catheter (IV). When discussion ethics in
nursing, the focus is mainly a hard decision. Nevertheless, even
the tasks we consistently perform could
have an ethical implication which may cause harm. Nurses and
staff that work alongside them need to be aware of the ethical
effect of insufficient staffing ratios as
well as stressed care providers. The education of the nursing
code of ethics as well a general ethics are routinely discussed.
We always hold meeting in the break
room where we work for our monthly staff meetings, as well as
compliance updates associated with mandatory continuing
education. Informing and educating staff
may as well consider providing handouts as well as reviewing
the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics manual present
in the health care facilities. After
the staff-patient ratio policy was put in place, the stress levels,
frustration, and tension have minimized. Charting is filled in
real time, employees are going through
their breaks, there is positive environment in the unit as well as
patient satisfaction has maximized. Recommend one or more
policy or practice changes de-
signed to balance the competing needs of resources, workers,
and patients, while addressing any ethical shortcomings of the
existing policies. Be specific and provide
examples.

Through the procedure that we have at this time is not in need
of adjustment. Through effective nurse to patient ratio, the
patient outcomes and satisfaction are
positive. This is documented in the studies completed and
returned from patients. Complaints minimized and happiness
brought by the employee on the staffing
numbers. Multiple nursing shortages have been reviewed,
studies as well as documented. There tends to be a plethora of
evidence on the triggers of nursing
shortages and techniques to deal with the deficit. Healthcare
facilities are required to put in place the techniques that
function among their staff. Lack of specific
policy in place for dealing with nursing shortage could be an
ethical situation; direct patients affected by a nursing shortage
reduced their satisfaction and outcomes.
When patient care gets impacted as a result of our budget, a
policy change on our unit may be hiring another assistant
manager as well as Nurse practitioner to re-
configure the staffing count. The nurse practitioner salary in
comparison to a physician may be less of an expense enabling
the difference to be implement in the
clinic for patient care (Han, et al., 2021). Healthcare facilities
that may wish to improve the nurse-to-patient ratios they may
consider creating a formal staffing plan.
Rigid nurse to patient ratios may not be the most appropriate
solution for health care facilities. A staffing plan is a unit and
shift-based scheduling technique which
maintain standardization of care in each department. Through an
effective strategy, healthcare organization may maintain
staffing choices address the main factors.
Healthcare facilities may reduce turn over the underlying
causes. If a firm is losing staff in a short while, the firm may
consider limiting mandatory with time; allocating

paperwork to other effective employees; and providing
competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
Conclusion Due to the increase in nursing short-
age, employers are required to identify various choices to deal
with the deficit. With the ever-rising age of the population as
well as the sickness that continue, it
is a trend which will continue to come and go. This requires
creation of techniques developed and implemented to work
effectively through the increased shortage to
prevent the general incapacity to get health care.

Ethical issues are part of a nurse’s every day’s activities for
instance medication adminis-

discussion ethics in nurs-
ing, the focus is mainly a hard decision. Nevertheless, even the
tasks we consistently per-
form could have an ethical implication which may cause harm.
Nurses and staff that work
alongside them need to be aware of the ethical effect of
insufficient staffing ratios as well
as stressed care providers.

Lack of specific policy in place for dealing with nursing
shortage could be an ethical situa-
tion; direct patients affected by a nursing shortage reduced their
satisfaction and out-
comes. When patient care gets impacted as a result of our
budget, a policy change on our
unit may be hiring another assistant manager as well as Nurse
practitioner to reconfigure
the staffing count. The nurse practitioner salary in comparison
to a physician may be less
of an expense enabling the difference to be implement in the
clinic for patient care (Han,
et al., 2021).

Instructions
Using the Mock Counseling Intake Form (either Word,
or PDF format) describe your client (age, gender, occupation,
family constellation, lifestyle, etc.), what has been happening to
him or her that has brought that person to therapy, what are the
behaviors, symptoms, and diagnosis, what are the client's
strengths, resources, and challenges or weaknesses, etc.
Because movies rarely give enough details about any particular
character, you will have to do some guessing when filling out
the intake form. Based on the movie character and the
diagnosis you will be giving them, make your best educated
guess about sections not mentioned in the movie. For example,
if you will be diagnosing the client with Major Depressive
Disorder, but the movie does not give information about family
medical history, it is perfectly fine to say the client's mother
and maternal aunt both suffer from Depression. Here is where
you will need to use some deductive reasoning to paint a more
rounded picture of your fictional client.
Next, contrast TWO recommended, research-based treatment
approaches for your fictional client. What does each approach
entail? Describe a treatment plan for each of these approaches
and "homework" that you might give the client to supplement
the work done in session. You will cite and reference at least
two high quality, academic, researched-based resources (peer-
reviewed journal articles or books published by the ACA or
APA) for each treatment strategy so we know what you are
basing your treatment strategy on.
Lastly, once you have completed the Mock Counseling Intake
Form and Treatment Plan, attach them to a discussion post in
Module 7. You may choose any disorder, but must select
treatment approaches within the psychosocial category. After
you have posted your Case Study Project to this discussion, you
must view and respond to at least three other students. In your
replies to classmates, assume the role of a participant in group
case supervision. Do research on effective approaches to
intervention, identify the treatment modality that you believe
would be most effective, and make suggestions about possible
enhancements or additional considerations to the two treatment
plans proposed in your classmate's initial posting. Your
response will be in the usual written format within the
discussion.
There is not a minimum word count for the Mock Counseling
Intake Form. However, in order to receive full credit, you must
go into a significant amount of depth and detail on all sections
of the intake form and the treatment plan. Remember, be
creative, but also be academic and support your conclusions and
treatment strategies with solid academic scholarly resources.

Nursing is among the fastest-growing occupations in the United
States through the nation still faces a significant shortfall of
qualified nurses. The shortage may continue to be highly
essential due to the aging population. The U.S. is speculated to
go through a shortage of Registered Nurses which is expected to
maximize as baby boomers age and the need for health care
maximizes. The Registered Nursing workforce is speculated to
grow from 2 million in 2019 to 3 million in 2029, a rise of
220,000 and 7%.
Impact of Nursing Shortages in an Organization
In 2014, a study was conducted in American hospitals regarding
the nursing shortage. They found that a rise in nurses; workload
by one patient maximized the possibility of dying in 30 days of
admission by 7%. The researchers as well found out that each
10% rise in bachelor’s degree nurses was related to a drop in
patient death by 7% (Haddad, Annamaraju, & Toney-Butler,
2020). Insufficient nurse staffing is as well associated with high
patient mortality rates. In facilities with a limited number of
nurses, the mortality risk for patients tends to be about 6% more
on units that were understaffed in comparison to the well -
staffed units. When a nurse’s workload is high due to high
patient turnover, mortality risk as well tends to rise. Based on a
study conducted by the American Association of Colleges of
Nursing (2020), there tends to be 4.9 fewer death in 10000
patients on intensive care units that are staffed with a high
percentage of nurses with bachelor’s degrees.
Summary of the articles
The article by Mark et al. (2019) aims to deal with the
identified causes of the nursing shortage in health care facilities
and other nations. According to the findings of this study, the
nursing shortage causes tend to be multifaceted without
worldwide or local evaluation of its nature, inefficient planning
and use of accessible nursing resources, ineffective recruitment
or undersupply of the news staff, and worldwide people’s health
conditions. Nursing shortages tend to be at a critical point of
healthcare services on both the local and worldwide levels. The
nursing policy needs to prepare as well as put in place national
social security aims in the services offered by the nurses. The
program may involve general issues, which may involve
enhancing working and employment conditions, making use of
mechanism managing salary, and offering the chances for long-
term learning with the use of mobile and technological
creativity as a sustainable solution.
The article by Seren and his associates (2019) found out
that nursing shortage is the main issue in healthcare. Nurses'
commitments are an essential issue that should be addressed.
The study majored in evaluating the impact of job satisfaction
as well as work contexts on the nurses’ organizational
commitment. The establishment of techniques for maximizing
job satisfaction in nurses and developing a positive work
environment might lead administrators to maximize
organizational commitment in assisting to the issue of nursing
shortage.
Strategies to address the organization of national healthcare
issue
The involvement of nursing policy is one of the solutions that
can be used in handling shortages of nurses. The new policies
may involve effective payment agreements, emergency hiring
plans, registered nurse’s residency plans, special contracting
systems, allowance directives, as well as recruiting and
guaranteeing incentives for nursing graduates and full-time
National government employment. If the existing policies
remain, they will apply downward pressure on nursing
workforce wages and benefits. Hospitals' wage and working
conditions decisions greatly impact whether it's easy or difficult
to recruit and retain nurses. If working in an ambulatory care
setting is less stressful and more gratifying than working in a
hospital, hospitals might raise compensation to compensate for
the disparities in working circumstances and recruit more nurses
(Mark et al., 2019). Better employment offers in health care
facilities tend to attract nurses and reduce turnover. However,
implementing these policies may be expensive for the facility.
Increasing the wages for the nurses may be costly to the
facility.
According to Seren et al. (2019), the establishment of
techniques used to maximize job satisfaction among nurses and
develop a positive work environment may lead administrators to
maximize organizational commitment in helping to the nursing
shortage issue. A satisfying work environment for nurses allows
them to implement nursing skills, make autonomous nursing
care choices and enhance high nursing or clinical competence in
their professional lives—health care facilities. Health care
facilities can create a positive work environment by building an
environment in which humor is encouraged. Nurses also require
a safe place to voice their issues and ideas.
The nursing shortage is a global issue that is facing the
health care system. Without implementing any decisive actions,
nurses will have to work under too much stress. The nurses tend
to feel the weight of the increased aging population and
increased access to public health care.

The shortage may continue to be highly essential due to the aging population. The U.S. is speculated to go through a shortage of Registered Nurses which is expected to maximize as baby boomers age and the need for health care maximizes. The Registered Nursing workforce is speculated to grow from 2 million in 2019 to 3 million in 2029, a rise of 220,000 and 7%. Impact of Nursing Shortages in an Organization In 2014, a study was conducted in American hospitals regarding the nursing shortage. They found that a rise in nurses; workload by one patient maximized the possibility of dying in 30 days of admission by 7%. The researchers as well found out that each 10% rise in bachelor’s degree nurses was related to a drop in patient death by 7% (Haddad, Annamaraju, & Toney-Butler, 2020). Insufficient nurse staffing is as well associated
  • 4. with high patient mortality rates. In facilities with a limited number of nurses, the mortality risk for patients tends to be about 6% more on units that were under- staffed in comparison to the well-staffed units. When a nurse’s workload is high due to high patient turnover, mortality risk as well tends to rise. Based on a study con- ducted by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (2020), there tends to be 4.9 fewer death in 10000 patients on intensive care units that are staffed with a high percentage of nurses with bachelor’s degrees. Summary of the articles The article by Mark et al. (2019) aims to deal with the identified causes of the nursing shortage in health care facilities and other nations. According to the findings of this study, the nursing shortage causes tend to be multifaceted without worldwide or local evaluation of its nature, inefficient planning and use of accessible nursing 1 2 2 3 2 https://class.waldenu.edu/webapps/mdb-sa- BBLEARN/originalityReport?attemptId=c09665ed-6675-4ef2- 8b38- dcae7653516e&course_id=_16911853_1&download=true&inclu deDeleted=true&print=true&force=true

Nursing shortages tend to be at a critical point of healthcare services on both the local and worldwide levels. The nursing policy needs to prepare as well as put in place national social security aims in the services of- fered by the nurses. The program may involve general issues, which may involve enhancing working and employment conditions, making use of mechanism manag- ing salary, and offering the chances for long-term learning with the use of mobile and technological creativity as a sustainable solution. The article by Seren and his associates (2019) found out that nursing shortage is the main issue in healthcare. Nurses' commitments are an essential issue that should be addressed. The study majored in evaluating the impact of job satisfaction as well as work contexts on the nurses’ organizational commitment. The establishment of techniques for maximizing job satisfaction in nurses and developing a positive work environment might lead administrators to maximize organizational commitment in assisting to the issue of nursing shortage. Strategies to address the organization of national healthcare issue The involvement of nursing policy is one of the solutions that can be used in handling shortages of nurses. The new policies may involve effective payment agreements, emergency hiring plans, registered nurse’s residency plans, special contracting systems, allowance directives, as well as recruiting and guaranteeing incentives for nursing graduates and full -time
  • 6. National government employment. If the existing policies remain, they will apply downward pressure on nursing workforce wages and benefits. Hospitals' wage and working conditions decisions greatly impact whether it's easy or difficult to recruit and retain nurses. If working in an ambulatory care setting is less stressful and more gratifying than working in a hospital, hospitals might raise compensation to compensate for the disparities in working circumstances and recruit more nurses (Mark et al., 2019). Better employ- ment offers in health care facilities tend to attract nurses and reduce turnover. However, implementing these policies may be expensive for the facility. Increasing the wages for the nurses may be costly to the facility. According to Seren et al. (2019), the establishment of techniques used to maximize job satisfaction among nurses and develop a positive work environment may lead administrators to maximize organizational commitment in helping to the nursing shortage issue. A satisfying work environment for nurses allows them to implement nursing skills, make autonomous nursing care choices and enhance high nursing or clinical competence in their professional lives—health care facilities. Health care facilities can create a positive work environment by building an environment in which humor is encouraged. Nurses also require a safe place to voice their issues and ideas. The nursing shortage is a global issue that is facing the health care system. 2 2 Without implementing any decisive actions, nurses will have to
  • 7. work under too much stress. The nurses tend to feel the weight of the increased aging population and increased access to public health care. Identify and describe at least two competing needs impacting your selected healthcare issue/stressor. Nursing is among the fastest growing occupations in the United States through the nation still faces a major shortfall of qualified nurses. The shortage may continue to be very important due to the aging populations. The United States is speculated to go through a shortage of registered nurses which is expected to increase as baby boomers age and the need for health care increases. The nursing shortage is faced with competing needs of a maximized patient population as well as insufficient nurses to offer the care. Along with the rise in our population’s age, the sicknesses which require hospitalization are of a maximized acuity. Healthcare facilities and offices which provide frontline in the workforce to offer the best care for their patient population. Nurses tend to be the main in the workforce to offer the most appropriate the care for patients seeking positive outcomes. As nurses’ shortage continues, nurses that stress due to working in, acute situations with minimized staffing re- sults to nurse burnout. With the continued environment of shortages, stress as well as burnout, healthcare organi zations may identify major impacts as well as unsat- isfied patients (Shamsi, & Peyravi, 2020). The nurse leaders are required will need to establish policies to help nurse in overcoming stress and provide them sup- port. The varying patient to nurse ratios leads to maximized errors, high morbidity as well as mortality rates. In health care
  • 8. facilities with nursing shortages, nurses tend to experience burnout, dissatisfaction and the patients experiences higher mortality as well as failure to rescue rates in comparison to facilities with re- duced patient to nurse ratios. Describe a relevant policy or practice in your organization that may influence your selected healthcare issue/stressor. My health care facility has not implemented any form of policy associated to the nursing shortage. Therefore, we tend to work in 20 consistent staff. We as well had ten other travel nurses. We believed that healthcare facilities should have the effective staffing to prevent a stressful work environment which leads to unsafe patient care. Patient care is completed during the day, at times without a break. We do not have the ability to complete charting in real time (Gray, McCance, & Brown, 2021). Working in this business model of cost containment was hard and started to trigger tension, frustration as well as angst among employees. The model does not flow the ethics in care which is implemented in nursing school. The business model doesn’t maintain the Nursing code of ethics. Upon having a discussion on the is- sue of additional staff and not being able to offer safe as well as effective nursing care. The main aim was met, and the team began to grow to meet the need for the growing patient population in our healthcare facilities. After the initial discussion on staffing, the communication maximized and monthly meetings with staff to pa- tient ratio policy implemented. We have established a positive staff to patient ratio with four Registered Nurses, two medical assistants and two nursing assis-

Critique the policy for ethical considerations and explain the policy’s strengths and challenges in promoting ethics. Ethical issues are part of a nurse’s every day’s activities for instance medi cation administration vital signs or start- ing an intravenous catheter (IV). When discussion ethics in nursing, the focus is mainly a hard decision. Nevertheless, even the tasks we consistently perform could have an ethical implication which may cause harm. Nurses and staff that work alongside them need to be aware of the ethical effect of insufficient staffing ratios as well as stressed care providers. The education of the nursing code of ethics as well a general ethics are routinely discussed. We always hold meeting in the break room where we work for our monthly staff meetings, as well as compliance updates associated with mandatory continuing education. Informing and educating staff may as well consider providing handouts as well as reviewing the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics manual present in the health care facilities. After the staff-patient ratio policy was put in place, the stress levels, frustration, and tension have minimized. Charting is filled in real time, employees are going through their breaks, there is positive environment in the unit as well as patient satisfaction has maximized. Recommend one or more policy or practice changes de- signed to balance the competing needs of resources, workers, and patients, while addressing any ethical shortcomings of the existing policies. Multiple nursing shortages have been reviewed, studies as well as documented. There tends to be a plethora of evidence on the triggers of nursing shortages and techniques to deal with the deficit. Healthcare facilities are required to put in place the techniques that function among their staff. Lack of specific policy in place for dealing with nursing shortage could be an ethical situation; direct patients affected by a nursing shortage reduced their satisfaction and outcomes. When patient care gets impacted as a result of our budget, a policy change on our unit may be hiring another assistant manager as well as Nurse practitioner to re- configure the staffing count. The nurse practitioner salary in comparison to a physician may be less of an expense enabling the difference to be implement in the clinic for patient care (Han, et al., 2021). Healthcare facilities that may wish to improve the nurse-to-patient ratios they may consider creating a formal staffing plan. Rigid nurse to patient ratios may not be the most appropriate solution for health care facilities. A staffing plan is a unit and shift-based scheduling technique which maintain standardization of care in each department. Through an effective strategy, healthcare organization may maintain staffing choices address the main factors. Healthcare facilities may reduce turn over the underlying causes. If a firm is losing staff in a short while, the firm may consider limiting mandatory with time; allocating 5 5

Conclusion Due to the increase in nursing short- age, employers are required to identify various choices to deal with the deficit. With the ever-rising age of the population as well as the sickness that continue, it is a trend which will continue to come and go. This requires creation of techniques developed and implemented to work effectively through the increased shortage to prevent the general incapacity to get health care. Based on the movie character and the diagnosis you will be giving them, make your best educated guess about sections not mentioned in the movie. For example, if you will be diagnosing the client with Major Depressive Disorder, but the movie does not give information about family medical history, it is perfectly fine to say the client's mother and maternal aunt both suffer from Depression. Here is where you will need to use some deductive reasoning to paint a more

Describe a treatment plan for each of these approaches and "homework" that you might give the client to supplement the work done in session. You will cite and reference at least two high quality, academic, researched-based resources (peer- reviewed journal articles or books published by the ACA or APA) for each treatment strategy so we know what you are basing your treatment strategy on. Lastly, once you have completed the Mock Counseling Intake Form and Treatment Plan, attach them to a discussion post in Module 7. You may choose any disorder, but must select treatment approaches within the psychosocial category. After you have posted your Case Study Project to this discussion, you must view and respond to at least three other students. In your replies to classmates, assume the role of a participant in group case supervision. Do research on effective approaches to intervention, identify the treatment modality that you believe would be most effective, and make suggestions about possible enhancements or additional considerations to the two treatment plans proposed in your classmate's initial posting. Your response will be in the usual written format within the discussion. There is not a minimum word count for the Mock Counseling Intake Form. However, in order to receive full credit, you must go into a significant amount of depth and detail on all sections of the intake form and the treatment plan. Remember, be creative, but also be academic and support your conclusions and treatment strategies with solid academic scholarly resources. 12/9/21, 7:46 PM Rubric Assessment - PSY249C41 Abnormal Psychology: SS3 (Carrie Garman) FA21 - CCCOnline

  • 87. NURS-6053 Dr Leigh Ann Farmer 12/08/2021 Nursing is among the fastest-growing occupations in the United States through the nation still faces a significant shortfall of qualified nurses. Insufficient nurse staffing is as well associated with high patient mortality rates. In facilities with a limited number of nurses, the mortality risk for patients tends to be about 6% more on units that were understaffed in comparison to the well - staffed units. When a nurse’s workload is high due to high patient turnover, mortality risk as well tends to rise. Based on a study conducted by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (2020), there tends to be 4.9 fewer death in 10000 patients on intensive care units that are staffed with a high percentage of nurses with bachelor’s degrees. Summary of the articles
  • 88. The article by Mark et al. (2019) aims to deal with the identified causes of the nursing shortage in health care facilities and other nations. According to the findings of this study, the nursing shortage causes tend to be multifaceted without worldwide or local evaluation of its nature, inefficient planning and use of accessible nursing resources, ineffective recruitment or undersupply of the news staff, and worldwide people’s health conditions. Nursing shortages tend to be at a critical point of healthcare services on both the local and worldwide levels. The nursing policy needs to prepare as well as put in place national social security aims in the services offered by the nurses. The program may involve general issues, which may involve enhancing working and employment conditions, making use of mechanism managing salary, and offering the chances for long- term learning with the use of mobile and technological creativity as a sustainable solution. The new policies may involve effective payment agreements, emergency hiring plans, registered nurse’s residency plans, special contracting systems, allowance directives, as well as recruiting and guaranteeing incentives for nursing graduates and full-time National government employment. If the existing policies remain, they will apply downward pressure on nursing
  • 89. workforce wages and benefits. Better employment offers in health care facilities tend to attract nurses and reduce turnover. Without implementing any decisive actions, nurses will have to work under too much stress. The nurses tend to feel the weight of the increased aging population and increased access to public health care. ReferencesAmerican Association of Colleges of Nursing. (2020). Nursing Shortage.
