technique origin from East Asia. Ukiyo-e is the best known type
of Japanese woodblock art print.

Producing needle point lace is very labour
intensive and not feasible against current
faster produced machine made lace.

Has worked on a small scale by some nuns teaching others the
knowledge and skill before passing away.

scale to recuperate their finances.
