PANUI Renewable Energy Hui Marine Solar Wind Wood-waste and crops Late last year in a hapu hui, the climbing cost of power was raised as a serious issue for the whanau and hapu. We set some goals and put a whanau project team together. Our goals are: • Cheap power for the whanau through an energy company owned by the hapu; • Energy security and a new revenue stream for the hapu; • New and real jobs; and • Model project management approaches. Host Engineering experts to work with us • Friday 17th May 3:00 p.m. powhiri to Engineering Students from Auckland, AUT and Canterbury University at Omaio marae. • Saturday 18th May fieldtrip with students around the rohe. • Sunday 19th May the engineers and students depart back for Auckland and Christchurch. Nau mai e te whanau ki te korero, whakatakoto whakaaro anake Karamea and Project Team
