Re: Lee Yoon Guen Reference
Dear Sir or Madam:
I take this opportunity to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Lee Yoon (“Chris”) Guen. For
approximately two years, Chris worked with us as our live-in Au Pair. During her two years with us,
Chris was primarily responsible for taking care of and educating our two children, Kaitlyn (age 8) and
Alex (age 5), and performing various duties relating to our children. Chris was responsible for scheduling
and overseeing various activities for the children, assisting them with their homework, and teaching them
how to read, write and perform mathematic functions. We were very impressed by Chris’s ability to
communicate with, discipline and teach our children, and she was essential to both Kaitlyn and Alex’s
development from an educational perspective. Thanks in great part to Chris’s dedication and hard work,
Kaitlyn was the top student in her class in both reading and mathematics and has been accepted into her
school’s gifted student program. Alex is showing similar progress, again thanks in great part to Chris.
During her approximately two years with us, Chris vastly improved her English skills, both written and
verbal. In addition to the work she performed for us, Chris also maintained her course load at the College
of DuPage. It is evident that Chris is a quick learner and is dedicated to her job. Chris regularly went
above and beyond what was required of her by the job, often times volunteering to assist with projects,
assignments and supervising our children, despite the fact that she had completed her work day or was not
scheduled to work that day. My wife, a physician and member of the Gower School Board, regularly
relied on Chris not only to work with, and care for, our children, but also to perform various tasks relating
to her work and her duties as a School Board member. Chris never shied from any request or task and
welcomed any challenge. Our children not only came to rely on Chris, but they became very attached to
her as well. Chris is the most dedicated and responsible Au Pair I have known, and is the standard by
which other Au Pairs should be measured. It is with great regret that Chris left us to return home, If I can
