5. Basic stages of development
04.02.1967 – USSR’s council of ministers resolved to found Belebey plant of normals and
fasteners.
1970 – Release of the first lot of parts; the first supply to the Volzhsky automobile plant was
carried out.
18.01.1971 – The plant «AVTONONORMAL» was put in operation.
1973 – Beginning of part mastering for the Kamsky plant of heavy trucks.
25.08.1975 – Opening of machine-tool manufacture.
27.06.2002 –«Avtonormal» was reorganized into «Belebey plant «Avtonormal».
2002 – The plant received ISO 9001:2000 certificate of quality management system after
the audit testing carried out by the German organization TUV CERT NORD .
01.01.2006 – The project «ISU/BelZAN – production» was put into operation on the basis of
software “My SAP ERP”
2006 – The plant confirmed correspondence of quality management system to the
requirements of ISO 9001:2000 after re- audit testing, carried out by the French
company “UTAC”.
09.2007 - “BelZAN” received certificate of quality management system corresponding to the
requirements of ISO/TS 16949 (“UTAC”, France).
2008 - Brake hose tips production was introduced.
2009 –Fealer covering machine “Loktide” was put into operation.

Production capacity of OAO «BelZAN» is over 70 thousand tons per year
OAO “BelZAN” consists of the following complex of production facilities:
-metal preparation facilities for cold heading (metal preparation shop)
- fasteners and springs production facilities (cold heading shops, spring,
automatic shops )
- thermal treatment of fasteners and springs facilities (thermal shop)
- protective coating facilities (galvanic shop)

manufacture of fastening products and sundries, providing required quality of final

Certification of products(fasteners – Moscow Automobile and Road Institute,
Research Automobile and Mechanical Institute)
On-receipt inspection of metal and materials
(control of mechanical characteristics, chemical composition, surface quality,
presence of surface defects):
-«Spectrolab» – Control of steel chemical composition ;
-«Seven Easy pH» – Device for measuring of pH и emf in solutions and electrolytes;
- Analytic Balance «AB - 304S» – device for weighing accurate joint hinges;
-«Анион 4120» –conductivity gauge for measurement of electrical conductivity

reliability
Process inspection
(Process parameters control, products parameters control, products mechanical and
geometric parameters control ):
-«Microtverdomer» – device for measurement of products hardness;
-«Fischer» - device for surface thickness control;
-Chromatograph «Цвет 800» – hardware and software-based complex for
determination of process gases composition;
-Salt spray chamber «CNS/1000» – device for corrosion resistance of deposited
surfaces tests;
-Image analyzer of solids microstructure «Siams - 700» - used for determination of
surface defects, microstructure, carbon-free layer;
-Tearing machine «ИР 5145-500-11» – used for extension test of fasteners;
-Other test and measurement equipment.
Manufacturing supervision
(First-off audit and running control of process variables and manufacture, carried out
by operator in the course of production): manufacturing supervision results are
registered in manufacturing supervision and adjusting registration journals, control
sheets or control cards

17. Quality management
Certificate confirming correspondence of “BelZAN” System of
Quality management to the requirements of automotive standard ISO/
TS 16949:2002, issued according to the results of audit, carried out by
the company «UTAC» in July, 2007.
Expiration- September, 2013.
This July «UTAC» conducted compliance audit. According to its
results «BelZAN» QMS corresponds to the requirements of the
standard ISO/TS 16949/2002.
Certificate confirming correspondence of “BelZAN” System of
Quality management to the requirements of automotive standard ISO
9001 (edition 2000), issued according to the results of audit, carried out
by the company «UTAC» in July, 2007.
Expiration- September, 2013.

18. Training and professional development
All types of training and professional development of “BelZAN” staff are carried
out by the department of training and development. The following types of training are
organized:
- Training of newcomers;
- Training of workers on second profession;
-- Further training of factory and office workers;
-- Definitive training of workers to professions of “Gold reserves”
-- Advanced training, development of expert knowledge;
-- Further training of workers aimed at development of new equipment,
progressive systems and technologies;
-- Training in the field of protection of labor;
-- Training in the field of industrial safety of hazardous facilities
-- Training of staff in the field of quality;
-Many workers undergo training and further training in exterior organizations or
exterior teachers are invited to the plant. They carry out training in such subjects as,
for example, “Failure mode and effects analysis” (FMEA), “T-Flex-technology
system”.
-Basic source of additional staff on the plant is educated promising young
specialists. Students of training colleges, technical schools and universities do
practical work at our plant in order to be familiar with job skills and knowledge.
Annually craftsmanship competitions are organized for them. On average quantity of
trained staff is 1200 people per year.
