2. Project Details
Final Thesis: Experimental and FEA of GFRP (Glass fiber reinforced plastic) material in
automotive leaf spring.
Synopsis: This project is based on a complete study and analysis of leaf spring models and
was developed to optimize the material and geometry of the composite elliptical spring. The
influence of elasticity ratio on performance of composite elliptical springs was investigated
and both existing & GFRP based leaf spring will analyzed and compared.
Industrial project
Title: Modification for achieving better 5S and line balancing in body
shop line- l
Company: Renault – Nissan Automotive India Pvt. Ltd.
Synopsis: In this project the major concerns that involves control over the production rate
of the company specifically in BODY SHOP Line – I and are rectified by the proposal of layout
modifications, time schedule for part replacement and trolley management, design of an
algorithm for trolley inorder to maintain or increase the production rate.
