Cytrus embraced Africori's vision to create a digital platform for global music supervisors to access original, pre-cleared music from Africa. Previous attempts to develop the Africori site were abandoned after 18 months of fruitless efforts. Within 3 months of partnering with Cytrus, the site was successfully launched. Cytrus conceived and implemented the Africori concept, designing the site, adding 1300 music tracks, and utilizing cloud computing to allow for unlimited storage, fast worldwide delivery, and external distribution management. The site allows visitors to search, listen to, buy, and license music from African artists in an easy online process.

Previous attempts to develop the Africori site had been abandoned after an enormous financial investmentand
eighteen months offruitless effortwith another companythat had been unable to deliver the goods. Within three
months ofAfricori and Cytrus’ meeting,the site was launched.

Design
Using the Africori logo and logo colours,Cytrus created the design conceptand implemented all design on the
site.
The Tracks
Cytrus added around 1300 MP3 music tracks to www.africori.co.za. These are a smaller version of the recording
for sale.Cytrus moved the music files from Africori to Rackspace’s distributed cloud computing servers.
Rackspace has multiple servers with an enormous amountofstorage space in differentlocations around the
world.
This allowed Africori to enjoy the benefits of distributed cloud computing like unlimited storage space, lower
costs,speedymusic deliveryworldwide and external distribution management.
Listen To, Buy and Sell Music
Site visitors can use the highly customized search to type in exactly what they require,e.g. country of artist,
keyword, genre and tempo.Results are returned fastand users can easilydownload and listen to MP3s to make
their selection.
www.africori.co.za provides a step-by-step online licensing process for musicians to selecthow they would like
their music to be used,e.g. as a snippet,entire song or only for movies.
The site has made the process ofmusic sales transparentfor artists who can use their personal log-in on
www.africori.co.za at any time and view how their music is being used.
