CD Description From amazon.com ‘Acclaimed English singer-songwriter Ben Hudson releases a revelatory breakthrough album, Straight No Chaser , executive produced by global superstar Kanye West. It is a take-no-prisoners collection of monster pop hooks, shiny plastic synths, vocoder vocals, and piercingly lyrical songs which vary from love and disaster to heartache and hope. Straight No Chaser is full of punchy, singalong pop songs, such as glam slamming "White Lies", electro anthem "Knew We Were Trouble", lyrically twisting relationship drama "Stiff Upper Lip", bar room gospel hymn "Lift Your Head" and consoling ballad "Time".’ The CD design has a big effect on how appealing it is and how it attracts the fans and buyers. The music genre, the artist and the CD cover all have to link together to form a CD cover design that not only looks attractive but has to link back to the music and genre.

Artists that help promotion

The main well known artist that has helped Mr Hudson and all of his promotion is Kanye West. He helped produce ‘Supernova’ attracting his fans to this single as well as the future Mr Hudson fans. Kanye West signed Ben up to a record deal this way not only would Hudson get promoted but also Kanye himself, by signing up Ben he would get more attention in the music industry and as Mr Hudson has had success in releasing Supernova , Kanye would get praise for producing him. Touring with Calvin Harris, also a very well known and respected artist, gives Mr Hudson a ‘taste’ of working with one of the most respected person in the ‘hip-hop, pop, R n B’ genre. Also being with artists in well known festivals help, being in a good playlist often helps an artist become more successful than an artist who is in a lesser known playlist at a less popular festival.

Jay-Z has also been as big influence and help to Mr Hudson’s success as stated in the interview done by MTV, whilst he was being interviewed with Kanye West, his producer. All of these artists have been known to work together, including Dizzee Rascal and Rihanna whom have worked with Calvin Harris and Jay-Z.
