1. After completing his schooling at Arizona State University by graduating in Business and Sociology,
Chad formed hisfirst company in December of 2008, which was aptly named Landau Entertainment,
LLC. It didn’t take long for his first new venture to appear as he hosted the 2008 Maxim Magazine
Party for Super Bowl XLII in Glendale, Arizona. The organizers were so impressed with his efforts and
results that they requested he host their next Super Bowl party in Tampa, Florida.
In 2010, Chad leveraged his initial success by founding Smashboxx, a dance club in the entertainment
district of Old Town Scottsdale. Smashboxx excelled by being named “Best Success Story in
Scottsdale” by AZ Republic, “Best Nightclub” by AZ Foothills Magazine, and won the award for “Best
Management” by the AZ Nightlife Industry Association.
However, one of Chad’s most successful projects to date is Original ChopShop Co., which is a multi-
unit fast-casual dining chain founded on the premise that you can eat healthy for today’s on-the-go
lifestyle withoutsacrificingfresh, memorable flavors or affordability. With three locations throughout
the Valley and another three in various stages of development, Chad in his Managing Partner role,
elected to sell a majority stake of ChopShop using the New York City-based investment bank,
Bentley Associates L.P. In July 2016, as reported by Business Wire and Yahoo Finance, ChopShop
was acquired by Hargett Hunter Capital Partners, aNorth Carolina-basedprivate investment firm,
which rolls out hospitality concepts on a regional then national scale.
Chad also helped establish a sister company, Cake Walk Management, to perform the “back office”
of any entertainment-based company. With over a decade of experience in managing restaurants,
bars, clubs, and lounges, Cake Walk’s customized, full service approach to human resources and
consulting expertise incorporates proven methods of revenue driving, cost-effective management.
Lastly, Chad continues as a Managing Partner of The Montauk and Diego Pops restaurants in Old
Town Scottsdale.
Chad has been recognized as a marketing prodigy whose scalable, cutting-edge techniques in both
electronic and non-conventional formats lead to high visibility and growth for the businesses he
directs. Chad has also developed an esteemed reputation as a relationship manager enabling him to
align and grow his companies on a national level, by creating and fostering long-term, strategic
alliances and networks with venture capitalists, private equity firms, and other leaders in
entertainment-related industries.
