This video explains how to set warnings while purchasing in odoo

1. DISPLAY WARNINGS WHILE PURCHASING
IN ODOO v13

2. INTRODUCTION
● Sometimes there will be a situation to display some warning message or
needs to block further process on choosing a particular vendor or product.
Odoo provides this feature in Odoo v13.
● Warnings are messages or information that are displayed as pop-up.
● Message is displayed while selecting a product or choosing a particular
vendor

3. Lets see how it can be done.
CONFIGURATION:
First enable sales warning in settings.
Go to Sales -> Settings ->Quotations & order -> Sales Warning
Then write the warning messages ,message can be associated with product or a particular vendor.

4. In each Product form there is a field named Warning when Selling this Product , In this field we
can specify the warning method and warning message
The options are:
● No message: No message will be displayed
● Warning: Will notify the user with a message
● Blocking message: Throws an exception with a message and block the flow
Message specified in the next field will be shown as a popup.

5. After specifying of the message,whenever the user selects a particular product a pop up
warning message is displayed as shown below.

6. For specifying a warning message for a particular customer there is a warning message field
in Internal Notes page as shown below.

7. Specify the warning message and warning method.

8. When the warning method is specified as Blocking message,then the message will be
displayed as pop up when that particular customer is chosen and the odoo will prevent
from selecting that customer for further process.
