WHO ARE WE?
First Safety Technologies has been successfully operating since 1998. We offer three main fields,
namely:
Fire protection consulting, maintenance and engineering
General building maintenance and construction
Security
Our services extend to clients in the industrial, commercial, mining and public safety arenas.
By approaching fire protection as a system based solution that meets the objectives set by the
SABS, we provide the optimal level of fire protection at the lowest possible cost.
In the building line we adapt to the client’s needs and will accept both small and large projects.
SERVICES
The following services are provided by a team of qualified and certified practitioners:
A. FIRE PROTECTION
Supply of Fire Equipment:
FST supplies a wide range of fire fighting, fire protection and safety equipment.
Service & Maintenance:
FST has trained Technicians, in accordance with SABS 1475, to service and maintain Fire
Protection Equipment, including Fire Extinguishers and fixed systems.
Fixed Installations:
We provide a variety of options from fire suppression & detection systems to sprinklers &alarms.
Should a client request a turnkey solution, FST can undertake the design, installation, and
commissioning of fire suppression and detection systems including all types ofvehicle suppression
systems.
Fixed fire detection and suppression systems can be verified in accordance with relevant codes of
practice.
Consulting & Rational Design:
Our team of professional engineers and fire analysts design solutions to tackle any fire protection
problem.
Training with Certificate of completed Course:
A wide range of specialist courses is offered by us and our training service provider, Risk
Dynamic Solutions (Pty) Ltd. In addition to customized courses, the following standard training
courses are offered:
 Basic Fire Training
 Breathing Apparatus Training
 Fire Marshall & Team Training
 Fire Safety Auditor Qualification
Fire Investigation & Expert Testimony:
By conducting forensic analysis the causes of fires can often be determined, after investigating
incidents we can act on behalf of our clients as expert witnesses in legal cases.

Register and Maintenance Records:
The client receives a monthly inspection register for control purposes. The register is updated
with each service.
The client can, at a glance, see the number of units, service dates, pressure test dates, work
completed, as well as monitor costs.
Controlled Workshop Environment:
Mobile workshop procedures are aimed at a controlled environment based on effective quality
service.
 Loan units are supplied in lieu of units removed from the premises for service.
 Job sheets recording work done on equipment are archived.
 Quick and effective repair and refilling of units to minimize downtime.
 Feedback to client if units are condemned, with certificates stating why units were
condemned.
B. BUILDING MAINTENANCE & CONSTRUCTION
First Safety Technologies offers a wide range of services in the building industry
Roofs – we repair and waterproof roofs and roof structures
Painting – of houses, flats and buildings
Plumbing – all plumbing requirements. Repair of boiler room schedule 40 piping.
Brickwork – any additional buildings or maintenance
Paving – to suit the client
Swimming pools
Carpentry – repair and manufacture kitchens, built-in cupboards and wooden window frames
Glazing – to suit the client
Flooring – supply and installation of wooden floors as well as tiles and carpets
Thatching – supply, repair and erect lapas.
Carports – supply and erection of canvas or metal carports
Any ELECTRICAL work

e. Full asset list
2) Customer satisfaction
a. Would know status on Fire equipment at all times
b. What spares and components were used
c. The fact that all assets are scanned and that all is recorded.
d. The Device prevents shortcuts
3) Other
a. All assets gets a barcode
b. All locations get a barcode
c. Barcode on location and asset must be married for the Technician to continue
d. If asset is scanned, the System would tell you if the location of that asset
e. If location is scanned the System would indicate what assets belong in that
location.
