our commercial wine industry began in 1866, at vin villa which is located on Pelee Island\r\n\r\nIt really began to take shape in around the 1970's with the production of wines like baby duck

There is wine production i the atlantic provinces, however it is quite smalljust remember we do carry a few wines from atlantic canada,
canada has a variety of microclimates and geographical features that impact how grapes grow and mature in the vineyardsAs a result the selection of styles and weights of wines vary greatly
although the niagara region is quite condensed it has various micro-climates. these micro clomates that led way for the niagara to create sub-appellations\r\n\r\nif asked they are areas within niagara that have varied soils and climatic conditons, the sub appellations now give those areas a specific name\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
