I am a hard working individual that keeps to deadlines and won’t turn down a challenge, I am a friendly person
to be around and enjoy communicating with others from different backgrounds in and out of the workplace. I
am a self-motivated and outgoing person and not afraid to get my hands dirty by doing physical work around
the workplace, also I am a fast learner and am always keen to learn new things for the job at hand.

I am currently in my final year studying a level 3 BTEC in computing. In my first year I got a Distinction / Merit and I
hope to improve on my grade before completion.
Work Experience
August 2013 ~ Hull University
At Hull University I had two weeks experience as a joiner and was taking care with all the problems that the
teachers had around the campus, while at the placement I had experience of what it would be like to work
cooperatively with others on the same job and I learnt how to listen to the boss of the faculty so I knew what I
was going to do for the day. Every day I went into work I was doing something different, from fixing faulty
doors to fixing an iron fence that was surrounding the campus, I was never in the same place for any of the
jobs because there are lots of different areas surrounding the university including the student homes and the
garden section of the grounds.
February 2016 ~ Ability IT
I had a weeks` work experience at an IT company called Ability that specialises in security for computer
systems. This includes things like antivirus and data recovery for systems that have been subjected to cyber
attacks or had data corrupted or lost. They also specialise in computer management, for example they will
repair or replace faulty systems for clients and configure servers and networks for small businesses across
the region. The company also offer web hosting service where they provide the client with a virtual server that
customers or employees from all over the world can access. In my time there, I assisted the technicians in
installing new hardware and software on machines on a number of customers` sites which I really enjoyed. I
am due to complete a second weeks` placement in April.
Key I.T Skills
I am quite skilled at using a wide range of programs including Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel
and a variety of other programs. I am good at diagnosing hardware faults on systems, I am also proficient in
system building and installing new operating systems and software to the computer.
Other Details
I enjoy reading/watching physics based books/videos especially on quantum physics and the theoretical side
of it because it’s interesting to see what happens on the quantum scale and finding about all the theories on
how our world works. I am also a computer enthusiast and I like to make PC’s to my specification. If the PC
that I have built isn’t working how it should, I will try and diagnose the problem is and then If needed I will
upgrade the hardware to try and get the best performance I can get out of it. I also like to socialise with my
friends and enjoy meeting new people.
I have been taking driving lessons for several months, have passed the theory part of the test and have my
practical driving test booked for April 2016.
