The World Heritage Leadership Programme delivered jointly with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), our sister advisory body to the World Heritage Committee, aims to build the capacity of Conservation practitioners with a people-centred approach to the integration of nature and culture in enhancing the management practices of heritage places. It is a 6-year programme generously funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment, with activities also funded by the Swiss Federal Office of Environment and the Korean Cultural Heritage Administration. Our strength is that this is a collaborative programme, where we seek better practice by working together with our colleagues in nature conservation.
