- 2. PHOTOGRAPHY
- 3. WHO AM I? pursued my studies in Photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York, where I also gained my first professional experience at the studio of Steven Klein. I continued to ex- pand my experience within the Photography world by mov- ing to London, where I worked with Sandro Sodano whereas in Turkey, I gained experience at the Tamer Yılmaz Studio.In addition to a series of personal exhibits completed in Turkey, my works were exhibited in Barcelona Showcase in Casa Batillo in 2012, in Romart Biennale in 2015 and in Bologna in the event of Confimi Emiilia 2017. I approach photography as an adventurer diving into moments that tickle my curiosity and enable me to share eternal experiences with others. I continuously urge to offer something ‘new’ and innovative and advance myself by not only targeting international projects, but also by utilizing mix media of photography, video, digital art and installa- tions to deliver my vision. My aspiration to branch out to dif- ferent visual media led me to establish - with the sponsorship of Canon - the first photography-based TV Show in Turkey in 2012 called ‘Instant Split’. BACKGROUND
- 4. WORDMARK he wordmark is set in custom designed MH Typeface. Each character represents a frame that symbolizes the vision of Merve, as in a photographer’s point of view and the frame that she looks through, to the world. Thus, the frames represent the artist’s vision and perspective.
