you don’t wish to receive these, please let me know by reply email.
I hope that you’ll find the newsletter valuable, and look forward to hearing what

2. > FROM THE TOP
I’m pleased to announce the introduction of our ‘business of mobile’ newsletters,
brought to you by the Corporate team at Telecom Mobile. Our aim is to give you, our
Corporate clients, the best possible service and attention, and to work with you to
provide innovative and worthwhile solutions to help you improve the way your business
operates. We’ve recently restructured to improve our ability to do this, and already
we’re seeing very positive signs in terms of making more contact with more customers.
We’re looking forward to bringing more to our customer relationships. To this end
we’re very pleased to be bringing you some strong competitive offerings in the coming
months - your Telecom Mobile Account Manager will be able to tell you all about what
this means for mobile communications in your business.
> COMPUTING ON THE MOVE WITH NEW WIRELESS MODEM
Accessing the Internet or your Telecom Remote Office network from your laptop has
just got a whole lot easier. With the G Tran DotSurfer wireless modem slotted into
your laptop or PDA, you’ll be able to send and receive packet data on our CDMA
network at up to 14.4 kbps. There’s no need to connect up cables - you can check your
emails, schedule meetings or get that presentation, whenever you want, wherever
you are in our CDMA coverage area. And because your G Tran wireless modem has its
own Telecom Mobile connection, you can send and receive data on your laptop while
your Telecom mobile phone is still free for you to make and receive calls.
All ready for the future, the G Tran modem is compatible with CDMA 1X. This means
that when the current network upgrade to CDMA 1X technology is complete, you’ll
see network data speeds of up to 153 kbps.*
For more details, talk to your Telecom Mobile Account Manager.
*Data speeds will vary with conditions, including the number of users on the network, the
application being used, location and movement of device and local radio propagation conditions.
> ONE PHONE, ONE PHONE NUMBER, TWO ACCOUNTS
Make life simpler with Telecom Mobile’s Dual Account service. By dialling a ## prefix,
your staff can charge personal calls to a separate account. This means that reconciling
your business phone account suddenly becomes a whole lot easier, and with only
business calls on your business account, so does identifying Fringe Benefit Tax liabilities.
Your staff members get the convenience of a single mobile phone and number for
both business and personal use, and enjoy preferential rates for their personal calls.
You can choose between two pricing options for your Dual Account service - either
a flat per minute rate for peak and off peak calls on the ‘personal’ account with no
additional monthly access fee, or a low monthly charge and calls at the Corporate
Base Rate.
Dual Account is due to be launched early next year. Eligibility criteria apply - please
talk to your Mobile Account Manager for more details.
> HOT TIP - MOBILE EXTENSION
Did you know that even when you’re out of the office, Mobile Extension allows you to
call your colleagues on their extension numbers, and transfer or conference customer
calls as easily as if you were calling from your desk phone?
For more details about how this could benefit your business talk to your Mobile
Account Manager.
