2. BRIAN FAHY Founder and Managing Director
As a successful hotel manager, Brian Fahy identified the need for a professional, high
quality hospitality recruitment service in the 1970’s. His vision led him to founding
Action Recruitment in 1974. Opening offices in Dublin and more recently in Dubai.
Originally from Foxford a world famous salmon fishing village in Mayo in the west of Ireland,
Brian, trained as a Hotel Manager under the Jury’s hotel trainee management programme of the
1960’s. This industry led training programme took him to work in Switzerland and Germany
where he graduated from Hoehere Hotelfachschule in Heidelberg.
His career brought him to many of Ireland’s most renowned, picturesque tourist locations
and family owned hotels where professional service and attention to detail were key to creating
the ultimate visitor experience. Such valuable experience at Renvyle House Hotel in Connemara,
Ostán Rinn Rua in Ballinskelligs Co Kerry and the 5 star Dromoland Hotel inspired Brian to
developing Action Recruitment.
Brian’s philosophy remains the same 40 years later, matching people with an appetite to deliver
professional service at the high end luxury hospitality sector with a dynamic and rewarding senior
management role. He thrives on watching loyal clients grow in their careers and business.
NOEL CAFFERKEY Global Operations Director
Noel Cafferkey describes himself as being “back in Action” for the next chapter of
Action Recruitment’s international business development as a leading recruiter in the
luxury hospitality sector worldwide.
A Hotel Management Graduate, Action Recruitment placed Noel in management roles across
Ireland and the UK. The growth and evolution in digital and online marketing sparked a new
chapter in Noel’s career. Following the completion of CIPD In DIT College Dublin and the Digital
Marketing Institute of Ireland he joined Avvio as Business Development Manager for Ireland and
the UK in 2009.
US hospitality software company Market Metrix later appointed Noel as Director of Business
Development for Northern Europe working with leading brands Melia, Langham, Barcelo, Rocco
Forte, Scandic and Belmond.
Returning to Action Recruitment, Noel’s diverse career and wealth of experience in
international hospitality related software companies brings a new energy to future developments
in this growing area where digital and online marketing are crucial to international hospitality
sales roles.

MARGARET NAUGHTON Managing Partner UAE
Margaret Naughton is Managing Partner at Action Recruitment and leads the Dubai
team in a very dynamic hospitality and economic environment across the Middle East.
Dubai is predicting a growth in tourist numbers from 11.5 million in 2014 to 20 million by
Expo 2020. Delivering a culture and philosophy of ‘matching talent with opportunity’ in it’s highly
professional hospitality recruitment services, Action Recruitment under Naughton’s direction
understands the challenges in finding the right people for key roles.
A Shannon College Graduate, Margaret has over 20 years management experience in the
luxury 5 star hotel sector in Ireland, Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland, the US and most
recently Dubai. At 27, Margaret managed one of Ireland’s leading 5 star hotel’s achieving the much
coveted AA Hotel of the year award amongst many other accreditations during her tenure.
Margaret also lectures at the Emirates Hospitality Academy on a part- time basis in Business
and Marketing.
Along with developing the recently opened Dubai office, Margaret’s new challenges will include
the Ring of Kerry Cycle at home in Ireland which takes in 170km of stunning scenery. She’ll also
continue to manage her three beautiful young sons one of her greatest challenges!
