Copper-Nickel Heat Exchanger
The heart of any gas pool or spa heater is its heat
exchanger. Its task is to efficiently transfer the heat
generated by burning gas to the pool or spa water.
This is achieved by passing that water through
tubes of amazing Astralpool Copper-Nickel heat
exchanger. On the outside, these tubes are
covered in ultra thin fins. These fins absorb the heat
produced by the burners below and transfer it to
the water flowing inside each tube.
Genus is much more than just a
clever controller
The large Liquid Crystal Display was designed to
be the perfect diagnosis tool providing as much,
or as little information as you require. It displays
water pressure and thermostat operation, ignition
status, actual and set point temperatures. It even
helps protect the heater and can be used to run a
complete fault analysis if ever necessary.

The all copper finned tube heat exchanger
accepts high flow rates which improves the heater
efficiency and prevents scale formation in the
waterways. This results in less maintenance needed
and up to 83% efficiency meaning you will hardly
notice a difference to your current gas bill when
heating a 1600L spa.

Choosing your Spa Heater
Determine your desired heat up time (e.g 1,2,3
hours) from the performance chart below. Next
find your spa’s capacity along the bottom line
of the performance chart and follow up until it
intersects the appropriate heater. This heater will
provide a 20 degree temperature rise in the time
you have selected*
Choosing your Pool Heater
Determine the size of the pool area and the
heat up time you prefer from the performance
chart below. A 24 hour heat up time is usual for a
residential pool. The heater you select will provide
a 12 degree rise in the time you have selected*
* Heat up times can be affected by weather conditions, soil temperature, location of pool and use of pool cover.
