2. Desire is a fundamental part of
human existence and something
man has grappled with since the
beginning of time. However,
following a period of all-
encompassing consumerism and
Moore’s Law of technological
inventions, society finds itself at a
curious position; jaded and alone
together, evoking a slight sense of
despondency. Today our natural
human response reveals a
essential desire to simplify and
find purpose/meaning in products,
services, functions and life.
In contrast to what Oscar Wilde
said, ‘Desire is an unusually hazy
affair, obscured and muddled’
Our deliberate compensation is
leading us to a harmonious
divergence, in a honest effort to
do away with the surplus and to
end the restless strive towards
more for the sake of more.

3. divergent harmony
This season’s theme explores the symbiotic nature of opposites, where history
promotes future, nature inspires technology and warm invites cool with an objective
of symmetry and purpose. A season with no middle ground. Young and old go against
the grain, while markets shift and the middle becomes a remnant. From creator to
consumer, makers connect directly, with a bridge over the “between”. Weighty against
weightless, warm with cool and inside alongside outside. Divergent harmony thrives
on difference where quiet, but epic, stories develop.
4. This seasons color functions in much the same way as our theme shifting from the
moody to the reassuring, the pastels are complement and balance and unusual earth
tones and darks. The palette sweeps from warm camel and cool moss to bramble
green and marsala red giving a full range of opportunities from sartorial to the fresh
outdoor casual. The application covers Men’s, Women’s and Kid’s apparel/accessory
catagories
5. The outdoors feel of chalk and timber create a key base this season. Canyon rose
and pine green bring a soft dustiness to the palette, while a warm infusion of dark
bramble green is exaggerated alongside a shot of ginger. Unusually subtle, in men’s
and women’s categories.

6. Violet plays games with the greys creating dramatic effects that are engaging not just
for men, but also for women and children. Violet is a key winter accent, while the
contrasts between the hard and soft color work directly for the juniors market.

trends
The trends this season are driven by opposites like escape/connectedness, inside/
outside, relaxed/prepared and warm versus cool. The seeming contrasts speak of the
multifaceted generation thriving on divergence, but harmoniuosly connected to a new
desire for character found in sampling history, culture and current events.
Overall this season we can expect a new relaxed 70’s atmosphere that is earthy and
points to the outdoors. The season also offers a continuation of a masculine influence
in military and urban utility, while intentionally contrasting the ultimate in lounge like
femininity of silky, sheer and lace in womens The mission of the outdoors insists on
lofty, layered, high volume fabrication; while the wandering spirit ushers in the eclectic
mix of the artistic nomad abounding in the hand crafted resourcfulness and global
references, such as Folk, Aztec, and Heritage.
10. The 1970s continues as a key trend in silhouettes, patterns and colors. The look for
women is seen in gentle flares and blouses in retro colorways. For men, the look is
pared-down, with corduroy, plush coats and turtlenecks in rust, navy and camel.

military/utility
Military is the biggest commercial focus on outerwear categories. Newness in
contemporary urban tailoring comes from deconstructed silhouettes via sports
and utility influences. More volume in tailored silhouettes, tapered trousers and cargo
pants. Also in womenswear, particularly across outerwear. The look is military-
inspired, with structured jackets and fur collars.
12. Sheer chiffons and layers are important, adding femininity and elegance to looks in
womenswear. Sheer maxiskirts and dresses, floaty, while transparent body-con tops
balance full-length, voluminous skirts and palazzo pants..
