WILLIAM H. CHAFIN, JR., has been in real estate since April, 1991. He is a member of
The Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors and a member of the national Coldwell
Banker Commercial’s “The Platinum Circle of Distinction” which is the most prestigious honor an
individual can receive and places him within the top five percent nationally. He has consistently
ranked in “The Top Ten Percent” in Commercial Sales and Leasing in the Charlotte Metro Area.
Mr. Chafin has extensive experience in sales and leasing of office, medical, retail, restaurant,
industrial, multi family, land, 1031’s investments and general investment properties. He has
either sold, leased, assisted in the location of commercial real estate, and or marketed
commercial real estate for such companies or individuals like KFC/Taco Bell; Walgreens; Rite
Aid; Captain D’s; Arby’s; Planet Fitness, McDonalds, Dennys, Tilted Kilt Restaurant;
International Display Systems; Presbyterian Health Services; Blue Cross / Blue Shield, MTI Corp.;
Huddle House; Bojangles, Wendy’s, Luftig & Warren International; BASF; Affordable Dentures,
Consolidated Delivery; Yellow Cab; Rardin Enterprises (a major franchiser of McDonalds);
Doctor Sonny Gotro; Plaza Appliance; Rite Aid; Huntersville True Value Hardware; Hops Grill &
Bar; City of Charlotte; China House Restaurant; Cruise Outlets of the Carolinas; Vista Medical;
Contec Corporation; Cranfield Academy; etc.. He assisted Spreckles Industries, a four hundred
million-dollar corporation and the parent company of Duff Norton to relocate their corporate
office from San Francisco to Charlotte.
In 1984, Mr. Chafin moved back to his hometown of Charlotte, NC, purchased a chain of three
convenience stores, and developed the chain into ten locations throughout Western North
Carolina. In 1991, he sold the convenience stores and began his career in real estate.
From 1982 to 1984, Mr. Chafin was President of Buch & Deichman United States,
a ladies fashion accessory company based in New York. Prior to being recruited by Buch &
Deichman Mr. Chafin was with Revlon from 1968 to 1982 with his last position being Director of
National Accounts with a responsibility of $33 million in sales.
Mr. Chafin attained his formal education from the University of North Carolina and currently
resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife of forty-eight years. He has two children; a daughter who
resides in Pinehurst, NC and a son who lives in Charlotte, NC.
