PERCEPTION OF
BEAUTY
What does beauty really mean?

Beauty is being natural. To me its about being yourself and feeling unstoppable confident
and being beautiful is not about the outside but about the inside.
History Behind Perception of Beauty

•The Renaissance was a cultural movement that began in Florence in the 1400’s.

•Women of the Renaissance period did not concern themselves with things like
a few extra pounds of weight. In fact, just the opposite was true. The ideal
beauty of that era was more voluptuous than perhaps any other time in
history. Paintings from the Renaissance period often focused on women who
would today be considered fat. However, at that time, their figures and forms
were considered the height of sexiness.
Perception of beauty in today’s society

GIRLS

•97% of women admitted to having at least one “I hate my body”
moment.

•45% of skinny women admit to saying how they look fat, when they’re really
not, so they go on a major diet because fitting a size 2 is so called “Beautiful”

However, women who are over weight see themselves as “fat & ugly” so with
that depression they have inside they tend to eat more because they know
nobody cares about them. Which is sad 
GUYS
•69% of men admit to themselves that they have to workout all the time

•Some percentage of men admit they want to look good for women to get
attention. NOT ALL !

7% Of Men also admitted they use steroids so they can become more
 muscular .
