2. Obstructive lung Disease's ( OCD)
People with obstructive lung disease have shortness of
breath due to difficulty exhaling all the air from the lungs.
Because of damage or narrowing or blockage of the airways
inside the lungs, ---- exhaled air comes out more slowly than
normal.
At the end of the exhalation , abnormally high amount of air
may remains into the lungs i.e.reduced air volumes
5. Restructive lung Disease ( RSD)
Disease that affects the structures of the lungs tissues.
people with this types of DDisease's have difficlties to fully
expanding their lungs with air .
Because often results from a condition causing -- stiffness in
the lungs ,
stiffness of chest wall ,
Muscles weakness ,
Nerve damage.May cause the restriction in the chest expansion
. i.e . Reduced lungs volumes .
6. Examples - a. Interstitial lung disease, such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
a. Sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disease.
b. Obesity, including obesity hypoventilation syndrome.
c. Scoliosis.
d. Neuromuscular disease, such as muscular dystrophy or amyotrophic
lateral sclerosis (ALS)
Restrictive lung disease, a decrease in the total volume of
air that the lungs are able to hold, is often due to a
decrease in the elasticity of the lungs themselves or
caused by a problem related to the expansion of the chest
wall during inhalation.
