- Blake introduced Amy to crack cocaine which had a negative impact on her career and ultimately contributed to her death from alcohol intoxication. He also pressured her to do more drugs after she went to rehab.
- However, Amy also made her own decisions and struggled with drug and alcohol abuse before meeting Blake.
- Amy's father also contributed to her demise by constantly pushing her to make more music for his own financial benefit and bringing a camera crew to film her when she wanted privacy during a break from her career.
1. Amy(2015 documentaryfilmonAmyWinehouse)
I thinkthat Blake hada big impacton Amy'slife, ashe wasthe one that introducedherintotaking
crack cocaine, whichendeduphavinganegative impactonhercareerand life tothe veryend, when
she diedfromalcohol intoxication.Alsothe factthat whenAmywantedto getbetterandtry and
stopthisaddictionbygoingto rehab,Blake encouragedherbackintodrugs,and Amylistenedasshe
was infatuated, inlovewithhim, like she mentionsinsome of the clipsinthe documentary.
However,Ialsothinkthatshe ispartlyto blame as she isa grown women, anadultandshe can
make decisionsforherself.Alsoshe wasintodrugsbefore meetingBlake,cannabis,andshe was
drinkingbefore meetingBlake aswell.Soeventhoughthe documentarytriestoportraythatBlake
was a bigfactor of Amy'sdeath,Ithinkshe was verymuchto blame as well.AdditionallythoughI
thinkthat Blake wasone of the main, andbig reasonswhyshe died. The reasonbeingif he hadnot
pressuredherintodoingmore drugsaftershe wentto rehaband maybe evengotbetterhimself,
thenAmyprobablywouldn'thave died.However,she diddie fromalcohol intoxication,whichthe
documentarymentionedshe supplementedfordrugs.Ialso thinkthatAmy'sdad was to blame ashe
was alwayswantingAmytomake more music, doanotheralbumwhichit seemedlike justforhis
ownbenefit, the moneyashe wasa part of herbusiness.Fromthe documentaryitseemedthatAmy
lookedupto herdad a lot,as he wasn'tthere forher as a childso now she had himshe wantedtobe
close withhim. However, the documentaryportrayedhimasabit of an attentionseekerandgreedy
person, aswhenAmywas ina bad state and wentto have a breakfrom everything, the paparazzi,
the musicindustry, etc.Amy'sdad broughta camera crew to the island, whenshe clearlydidn'twant
any limelightatthatmomentintime, asshe just wantedprivacyandto have a breakfrom the whole
businessingeneral.
I feel asif the pressure of herbeinga famousartistwas alsoanother reasonof her deathas she used
drugsand alcohol to escape that. On topof that herdad makinghergo to concertsand performing
herold songsthat she didn'twantto performnomore as theyremindedherof oldtimeswithBlake.
Alsothe paparazzi being anotherreasonaseverywhere she wentthere were paparazzi swarmingher
withcamerasand shoutingquestionsoverthe topof one another.I alsothinkthatthe fact that
everyone dideverythingforher, andshe hadno independence didn'thelpheroutmuch. From
watchingthe documentaryIthinkthat itis truthful asthe clipsand scenesgatheredforthe
documentaryare all fromdifferentsources.However,itcouldeasilycontainfrankenbiting,asthe
interviewswere smallinlengthandcouldhave beenalot longer.Itwouldhave beeneasyforthem
to do,but fromwatchingit I believe the documentaryistruthful and honest.
