Prop notes
 Why we used fake blood – we used fake blood
to add to the mise en scene and make it more
believable. We wanted to create a
verisimilitude for the audience and we believe
the blood is a good way or conveying the
characters distress.
 Why we used ropes – we used ropes in this
two minute sequence to ensure that we could
show that the character was in distress and to
highlight the difference in power between the
two characters. We felt the ropes showed
that she was powerless and trapped.
 The gun is used as a weapon in the extract,
this weapon is the weapon that is used by the
antagonist during the time he has the
protagonist tied up. This gun is used for the
cliff-hanger effect as once it is fired the film
blacks out and the audience are left
questioning.
 The chair will be used for the protagonist to
be tied up in, it also makes the character
again seem smaller in stature as the are
sitting down rather than standing up and
makes them seem even more powerless.
