Division
Evaluates applications for various environmental permits and licenses to
determine environmental impacts of corporate practices and recommends
action to the immediate supervisor. Conducts water quality monitoring and
effluent sampling on different water bodies within MIMAROPA Region.
Monitor chemical and biological levels in the environment to assess the risk
it may impose to the environment. Monitor firms to ensure regulatory
compliance with environmental regulations, permit conditions, and other
requirements.

Intern, Oil Movements and Product Quality Section, Technology and
Development Department
Provided support to the Oil Movements and Product Quality
Technologist by doing blending analysis for MOGAS and anti-oxidant
injections. Conducted NIR analysis for MOGAS samples and gathered
results needed for the optimization of a new model to be used in the
NIR equipment that is to be commissioned as an online analyser.

from Circulating Fluidized Bed of a Philippine Coal-Fired Power
Plant
Studied the physical and chemical properties as well as toxic elements
content from Semirara and Indonesian fly and bottom ashes using
Serial Batch Leaching Procedure.

April 2012 Leachability of Chromium from Coal Ash using Serial Batch
Leaching Procedure
Studied the leaching behavior of Chromium from the ash samples
obtained from a local coal-fired power plant under varying pH levels,
liquid-to-solid ratio and contact time in order to assess the risk it
proposes to the environment and to develop sustainable strategies in
reducing it if not eliminating fully.
