Learning to make pixelated drawings was pretty fun. I chose to make Kylo
Ren, from the latest installment of the Star Wars films. His chaotic nature
played perfectly with the jaded, disconnected look the pixels provide.

This was one of my earliest
paintings. I was still learning
how to layer my paintings, and
blend colours together. I chose
this particular scene where
Luke impressive Vader with his
knowledge of the Force, partic-
ularily for the drastic colour con-
trasts, and less details on the
face or clothing.

This painting was based
on a scene from the mov-
ie “Kill Bill”, where the
main character faces off
against “Cottonmouth”
O-ren Ishii. Last february,
I was in ontario taking
care of my sick father,
and painting this was one
of the few ways I was
able to distract myself and
keep my mind off of why I
was really there.

This was a fun piece to make. I got to play around a lot with outter space,
spackling white paint all over to make different stars, creating the nebula,
and detailing the planet in the background. The ships were fun to make,
with all the smaller details, and all the various amounts of shading.

For this painting of The Flash, I really got to play with blending, fin-
er details, and mixing the background with the foreground. It looks
pretty great on canvas, and translated fairly well to digital as well.

By now, it may be apparent that I like
Star Wars.
This painting is actually unfinished, I’m
still in the process of adding Luke in
the bottom left corner, overlooking the
tattooine sunsets (pictured at the top
of the painting). I thought the memory
of Anakin fading away would be a nice
touch.

Wonder Woman is pretty hard core.
I wanted to make a Wonder Woman
painting after seeing her portrayed
in the new Batman V Superman
film.
I based the design on her comic
book appearance, and had her fly
through fire like in the film’s trailer
scene.

Funny story, this one was. Around
Christmas time, my girlfriend and I
decided to get “family photos” done
for chirstmas cards. As a joke, we
posed with a “baby” bear, having
no idea we were actually pregnant.
As an attempt to teach myself how
to use photoshop to make digital
paintings, I chose this picture, and
I’m quite pleased with how it turned
out. Not bad for never having used
the program before!

For a magazine cover design
project, I chose to make an il-
lustration of myself enjoying a
pint from last summer. The im-
age was drawn in Adobe Illus-
trator, and was my first time re-
ally designing anything with the
program, it was a real learning
experience.Sexy women

This may very well
be my favourite
piece. As a child,
The Legend of
Zelda was always
one of my favourite
games, the stories
and the characters
were all so vibrant
and exciting. So I
chose to paint this
scene from A Link
to the Past, where
Link was battling a
mud man.
