• 1.8 billion out of 7.3 billion of the world’s
population is youth
• Bangladesh : 47.6 million of young people
(10-24 years)
• 67% of girls get married <18 yrs
• dropout rate in secondary school: 48%
girls, 38% boys
• 28% unplanned pregnancies and 69% of
deliveries at home
• 60% of Bangladeshi people don’t have
access of safe drinking water
