Dear Dr Mohammed
Part 1 Membership Examination, 7 March 2016
I am pleased to advise you that you have successfully completed the Part 1 MRCOG examination held on Monday
7 March 2016. Following your success, the next step in obtaining your Membership to the Royal College of
Obstetricians and Gynaecologists is to apply for the Part 2 MRCOG examination.
Please keep this letter as it is the only notification that you will receive; there are no certificates issued by the
RCOG for the Part 1 MRCOG examination.
We strongly recommend you review the examination regulations to ensure you have fulfilled all the necessary
requirements to apply for the Part 2 MRCOG examination. The regulations are constantly under review and it is
your responsibility to be aware of the changes. For the latest information about exam currency candidates are
advised to read the examination regulations our website.
Please note that the MRCOG examination will be changing in September 2016. A new Part 3 MRCOG Clinical
Assessment will be introduced in November 2016, replacing the existing Part 2 Oral Assessment. The Part 2
MRCOG written examination will be separated from the Part 3 MRCOG Clinical Assessment, and each will function
as a standalone assessment. Further information can be found on the RCOG website.
