1. HSC Results
HSC exam 2017 started 2nd April this year. More than 1.2 million students appeared this year In
2,288 centers across the country under 10 Education board including Technical and Madrasah
Board. These students are from more than 8500 educational institutions including seven
registered foreign centers. After two years of higher secondary education, a student needs to sit
for another public exam called HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) Examination. HSC Exam
begins from April in Bangladesh every year. And the exam routine publishes two months before
the examination. HSC Result will publish in August. Here we provided all necessary information

2. Bangladesh Education Board Result :
This year, theoretical exams ended on May 15, while practical exams were held between May 16
and 25. Exams in the day’s first half started at 10:00 am and continued until 1:00 pm, while
exams in the day’s second half began at 2:00 pm and ended at 5:00 pm. Students with disabilities
were given additional 20 minutes to write their answers with the help of a scribe. Students with
certain disabilities like Down syndrome and autism had an extra half hour and were permitted to
get assistance from their parents or a helper.
Last year, the result published on 18th August 2016. As this year’s HSC exam started around the
same time as the previous year, we can expect the result publication this year around that time

The gaps between exams this year were narrowed down so that the examiners can get more time
to evaluate answer scripts. The result publication process will be the same as previous year.
The Marks will count as grade point for each subject. The grading system is as it was before.

HSC Exam 2017 result will count as follows. G.P.A for each respective subject will be summed
after subtracting 2 points from the G.P.A of the optional subject. Then it will be divided by the
total number of subject excluding the optional subject.
This year 654,000 male candidates and 565,000 are female candidates took part in the exam.
4,321 candidates are attending exam under Diploma-in-Business Studies (DIBS) authorized by
Bangladesh Technical Education Board. HSC Exams was also held at 7 (seven) centers abroad,
where 262 students attended the exams.
On August 18, 11:30 am, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will hand over the results to
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gono Bhaban in Dhaka. After the Education Minister hands

Re-scrutiny/ Challenge program of HSC Result 2017

That subject has two papers (e.g. Bangla and English) application will be under the one subject
code. For Bangla 101 and English 107 the application fee will be charged TK. 300.
To download or see the full detailed result including separate GPA for each subject, you will
have to wait until the evening of the result date. The detailed results can also be found the same
manner as the previous format through internet and SMS service.
Institution wise results also can be found on the Education Board website. After entering the site,
click results section. There you will find an option named “Institution wise result.” After
clicking, you will be asked to input EIIN of the institution you want the detailed result including
total examinees of the Institute, the total number of passed candidates and pass rate as well as the
total number of GPA 5.00 from the college.
