8. #2 Chemainus Village and Ladysmith Chemainus – global artists decorated this coastal mill town with historic murals painted on town buildings – lots of boutiques and scrumptious luncheons. 9. #3 Day of Decadence A visit to Cowichan Bay the #1 Slow Food town in the World. The Slow Food international movement presents an alternative to fast food and strives to preserve traditional and regional cuisine and encourages the farming of plants, seeds and livestock characteristic of the local ecosystem. Enjoy wine, cheese and a seasonal west coast lunch. Trip to an organic chocolate farm! Level 2 Activity
10. #4 Historical TourVictoria City Tour Historically present. View The World’s Tallest Totem, panoramic ocean views, affluent residential areas and tell-tale stories of local ghosts. Enjoy a Legislature guided tour and stroll through the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Visit our World Class Royal BC Museum. Level 2 Activity
11. #5 Spring Garden Tour Victoria’s finest gardens – a private tour. Also, visit Abkhazi Gardens where unique and modern blend together in design combining Californian and Chinese Gardens. A place of meditation and a journey in time – tea and scones in the Teahouse complete the visit. Continue to Glendale Gardens – a winter woodland and the Pacific Horticultural College with 30 demo gardens. Level 2 Activity
12. #6 Victoria’s Hidden History Victoria’s favourite historian, John Adams, leads us to historic cemeteries including the Chinese cemetery, Point Ellice House (Victoriana displays) and Government House. Includes a Chinatown Walking tour and Dim Sum lunch. Level 3 Activity more walking, easy, periods of standing.
